Notifications

There used to be this little thing that would notify me when someone replied to a thread I posted in or when they sent me a PM. Except after the last Update I cant find it any more. Did this Go away? or was it moved?

The mail icon next to your name will turn pink and have a number below it indicating the number of notifications you have. You get notifications for PMs, posts in a campaign forum for a campaign you have joined, and posts in threads you're following. You automatically follow threads you create, but you have to click "Follow This Topic" to follow any other thread in the main forums.

Are you sure? Because the only way I get notified that anyone has responded to anything I post is by clicking that option that sends an Email when someone replies. I havent seen the pink mail Icon since you guys updated the site to the new layout.

Make sure if you're running NoScript (or similar) to allow everything the forums and table want to load, and check your other addons for things that might be blocking portions of the site.  I can tell you that the pink notification exists, and behaves as Brian detailed.

I can confirm that Brian's information is correct (as always, thanks Brian). If you think yours may not be working (for example if you didn't get a notification for Brian's reply or this one) make sure you are actually following some topics (on your profile page there is an option to view 'topics i'm following' on the left). Technically you should receive a notification for this reply... If it still fails to display let me know and i'll move this to the bugs forum and suggest a course of action for you to follow.

Like I said, I had to set it so that it sends me an Email everytime someone posts in a thread Ive made/posted in or when they send me a PM. I have see no notifications on this website for any of that since you switched to the new design.

Ok, thanks for confirming. Since no-one else is having problems I will assume there is a bug happening somewhere so will move this thread to the appropriate forum. To allow the team the best chance at solving the issue quickly please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you.
