Also, i understand if you think i am super restrictive with what players i want. You must understand, i have spent 8 months running 4 man groups that fall apart in 3 weeks due to various reasons (all of which i listed and am avoiding now). I have played with over 100 different players. I am done forming worlds, teaching systems, teach backstorys to world, establishing historys, and then watching it all fall apart. Even if it takes a month, two months, three months, or more to find the four players, my next group *WILL* be stable and last.
Hi im really interested, im looking for an stable group, i used to have a master degree class on wednesday but i finished teh degree so i have the wednesdays nights free (also my wife teaches music wednesday nights so im good in that part). However i know the basics of D&D 5E and Pathfinder (i have the starter sets of both). So that means im relatively new. If this is not a problem let me know, and we can arrange dont know some type of seesion (tomorrow at 7pm) to know each other or help me with the first character, etc. Thanks a lot and have a good night.
Though I have Wed free and would love to play in a game with a DM as passionate as you I am currently in other games. I hope you find your players. You seem to care a lot about the game, which is fairly rare at this point. I think the player dropping is rather common here, as people do not need to make as big of commitment to make it to games. So they use this as a way to learn a new ruleset or setting, or even to figure out if they would like the game type.
Thanks clinton, i appreciate your honesty and wishes of good luck. I do care very deeply about playing dnd, it has a special place in ym heart since my childhood and is a free game that expends excess creative energy. Oxkar, ill send you a PM with my skype info and we can chat, new players are fine. Long as you read my whole pastebin, can meet all the restrictions, and still want to play. After chatting with you if it all goes well i can add you to the list and then just keep looking for the other 3.
After having read your post, I understand all too well your issues and complaints, as I myself have been running in to similar issues with group stability. I am not involved in any other games aside from a one-shot game on this Sunday (So really, I can't imagine that would be an issue.). I would be interested in joining up with a stable and invested group that takes an interest in playing the game, and thus far that sounds like what you are trying to put together. You can find me on Skype Under Brett.Lovely (That is the username. Name is Nelson Brett Lovely. Langley, Canada.). Please message me if you are interested in having me. I look forward to speaking with you.

Looking to play a long term campaign I really want to play Dungeons and Dragons every week. The Roleplaying scene in my town is lacking. I have a lot of roleplaying experience and I have played 5th edition before please consider me.
we have 3, a 4th added but has not replied, if there is some excited persojn out there you can still replace the 4th person if they dont reply to me
i would like to join i an=m very new to DnD howerver i am really excited to play... i do not have any preordaned class/race that i want to play, and the only other thing i do is a monthly game with a few friends that got me this far into DnD... can if you are interested in having me in your game pm me and ill get back to you as shortly after.
Hey treetop, I applaud this effort to try and get a stable group on roll20 and sometimes it's as you say pull your hair out to not have people drop because they got a date with their girlfriend or whatever. all of those issues. My game is about as hard-core as yours, (Super gritty healing, healing potions rare, encumbrance, ammunition, water and food requirements of the desert, critical hits, and a very well defined style of play that is just very hard-core because I am a military veteran.) except I don't have gnomes steam punk, but I have done that kind of "these are the conditions, if you don't meet them, I don't want you in my group." It works, defining what you want exactly. Prepare to take a lot of flak for this, though, and get blasted before the mods step in, and tell people to keep on topic. Sounds like the start on the pirate ship is cool, that is pretty good reminds me of treasure hunt module from second edition D&D. In any case I'm not the guy you're looking for, but I respect that your game is gonna be pretty cool, as I am retired and I run two regular 5E campaigns a week plus I also run one shots for people new to Fifth edition D&D, and new to roll 20 to try and grow the community, because of the I guess is 20 to 25 players to one DM ratio. I hate to see the process of screening for absolute new people that they have to go through to get play here. Plus, moving to Thailand in February, for retirement plus some undergoing eye surgery next month, plus my wife is sick, recovering from surgery on her skull on her ear. So I'm not the guy you're looking for but I am the type of guy you're looking for, and you will find those people, so good luck dude. I think I've seen you post for games before, I sort of recognize your name. All the problem people that you have listed, yeah I have run into those/ Although sometimes it's a GM problem. I recall a scenario last year were a guy had all the player characters in episode one of the Numenera campaign be homosexually raped by clowns as the first scene of the first episode. The second scene was all of us leaving the game!! hahaha Good luck With this, man. We are Seemingly kindred spirits.
