D&D 5E One-Shot, Aug 8 Saturday @5PM CST

Hi everyone, Hosting a 5E one-shot today at 5 PM US Central Time. We will be at 5th level. Veterans and newbies are welcome; if you need help with your character sheet please be there an hour early so I can help you out or get you a pre-gen sheet. Here is the story for today so you can plan your backgrounds accordingly: You are on the docks and have finally found the ship you were looking for -- the Seven Seas Strumpet. As you wait patiently for the crew to lower the gangplank, you notice that several others are waiting on the dock with you --- presumably to board the ship as either a passenger or a crew member. And what about you? What brings you here? Please PM me with your character, a bit of background story, and whether you need help setting up your character sheet. Thank you!
And to help things along, here are the posted rules: =========================== RULES FOR THESE ONE-SHOTS: -You may use any race and class in the Basic Rules, the Player's Handbook, and the Elemental Evil rulebook except for Aarakocra -You may use spells from the Elemental Evil companion rulebook if you'd like -For stats, you may use either Point Buy or the Standard Array (NO ROLLING) -Custom backgrounds are allowed as described in the Player's Handbook. -Alignment: NO EVIL alignments please. The party must be able to (mostly) work together, not against each other -You may take the maximum wealth for your class (pg. 143 PHB) and buy whatever gear you need. Download the Basic Rules PDF here: https://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/basicrules If you're very new, I encourage you to use a pre-gen character instead of getting bogged down by character creation. Here's one of the best websites to get a preg-gen character sheet (sorted by class level) from so you can get up and running: http://www.tabletopping.net/dd-5e-pre-made-characters.html
We're full up now, thanks everyone for the interest!
