Character Avatar doesn't disappear after session

So, we have a "guest player" (Shawn V.) whose avatar hasn't vanished from our game session (it is always there, even if he's not.) This is confusing and messes with messages because there is another player named Shawn. How do we remove this avatar from the session when he's not playing?

Unfortunately, you can't.  Not even kicking the player will remove it from the session. The workaround is stressing to your players the importance of exiting the game properly, by going to the My Settings (gear) tab and choosing 'exit game' rather than just closing the tab when done with the game. I'll ping the devs in hopes they can use some dev'ly magic to fix this for you :)
