In your title you mention the Book of Vile Darkness but in your summary you want the GM to make up a detailed and decision-heavy story. Do you have to have any of the 3.5 books (or access to that same information) in order to fill the GM roll?

If you have a problem with feel free too prove me wrong, On a leagle stand-point. Furthermore, The person in question asked for for some source material. Nevermind the fact you share a bit of the spells from the d20 system. So please, Just stop. I had the person sorted out and it is all good.
