[LFG] OVA, an anime RPG (pacific time zone)

I found this fun anime RPG called OVA and I want to find people to play it with. I can GM it or be a player in the game. I'm also okay with any anime genre, big mecha, magical girl, slice of life, whatever it all works for me. It's more about testing the system and finding some cool people to play with then the setting.

Right now I'm available to play whenever, because I work freelance, but that could change quickly if a good job comes my way. So probably nights or weekends (pacific time zone)

A bit about me, I have been role playing for 10+ years and have a ton of acting experience so I can run or play in a game very easily. As a GM I'm all about the fun of the players, if you want to become bandits and instead of the world saving heroes of a story I say power to you. I will also never punish players for not picking up on a clue they missed or make it so there is only one way out of a situation.

I'd definitely be up for giving it a try. I can't exactly afford the PDF, but then, I first started playing D&D with a borrowed Player's Handbook. I look forward to playing, if you'll have me.

all depends on the day you play and the time. I am not free till around 7pm est time and I do play other games but I would love to join if the time you play works for me.

I do own the first release as a book and the 2nd version as a pdf.

Oh? If you can, It'd be great if you could send/link it via PM or something. It'd certainly make it easier to start.

With the amount of people I would say we run two games or something because 8 People and a GM can be crazy in one game.

I'm less inclined to do besm. But that's not stopping people from doing one I'm just not interested

same I liked besm but still more into ova like the rules and groups of ova more since ive had bad experiences in BESM groups when OVA I have had no bad groups as of yet.


Oh btw im on total debate about dimension jumping since yeah huge Eastman fan so tmnt is a major influence but just got hooked on Star vs the forces of evil that totally has an anime feel to it.

Totally thinking of maybe making a magic girl now...I do have some ova characters already made that I never played yet.

okay so figured I would post here and ask, how many people here are interested and could play in an ova group on Wednesdays at 9pm est till 12am est?

I know Terra was saying she could gm or be a player but if we all want we could rotate gms each week so in case one of us has a problem getting things ready the other could run their session....my suggestion is making it be anime style but episodic a bit so no giant insane story unless we have it all prepped and ready to do so.

I can easily help with the room and such since I could leave resources for us to use and being a pro/mentor makes it so we can mess with all the tools.

I understand about bad groups dont get me wrong. So i wish you guys best of luck in your OVA game. but did want to say this though. Every type of pnp game be it anime, dnd or so forth will have bad groups. So please dont judge all of system for a few bad behavior groups, that's all.

lol I am not judging BESM on the bad group...I mean it was bad memories but I do like the rules of OVA a lot more...I guess the more basic the system is the more I enjoy it i notice.

I mean one of my most favorite systems is the unisystem which is legit a d10 system with the most math being adding a skill to the dice roll and aiming to get above a 9.

fair enough. i would like to learn myself ova but dont have the books plus i am a old fool stuck in his ways lol. so my go too anime is besm. so sorry for miss understanding.

If this is still open I would love to play. I cant GM too well unfortunately, and I lack the books although im sure I could find them at my local gaming store. Sundays and Mondays works best for me as I work afternoons and dont get off of work until 10PM CMT
