
Well i have had this in the works for a while now. and for the moment. i have a group of European players who are eager and ready to go. but i wanted to split the campaign into 2 groups due to the campaign being so big. The campaign story line is the following: Year 1323 D.z
There sat a planet in
the middle of the galaxy known as Valeska. Valeska being Home planet to over 15
Billion people suddenly became inhabitable due to a mysterious changing shift in the
rotation of the galaxy. The shift of the galaxy in general changing the weather
of every planet to extreme unlivable degrees making it to where people could no
longer live upon their home planets. Gifted with the technology they needed to
leave the people of valeska began to step outwards in search of a new planet at
which they could inhabit. For the next 500 years they set forth looking for a
planet to call home but none of the planets held the capacity to hold 15
billion people so the population was split between 4 planets.. Arteria…
temnu….Dubai…Miador. To transport all of
these people there were special ships that had to be made.. And those ships are
known as Cadavers which held about the size and density of an island. Each ship
holds about 2 million passengers including crew and military personal. Each
ship is owned and operated by the M.G.D
One envoy known as
the milagi was headed to transporting the last bunch of citizens across the
galaxy to their soon to be home planet known as Temnu.. Before making it even
halfway there came a unidentifiable presence into the scene.. A new race of
alien life form known as the Abalisk
The Mysterious creature appearing out of a rift or black
hole in space Destroying the ship crashing it into A massive planet that had
been covered by an odd affinity .to the galaxy this planet held no coordinates
and no communication to the outside world.. Those people aboard milagi who
lived through the crash were forced to learn how to survive in this unknown
land while trying to find a way for them to get home.
Year 1325 D.z
This world that would
be their proving grounds had just come into a time of technological advances
and scientific growth for this Large. The Planet of Illanther extending out to
fully cover over the land to learn more of its own realm Doing such a
abrasive search for its roots uncovering
Their history and beginnings had formed the planet into a time of enlightenment. Each ruler gaining a different theory from
this age of enlightment caused for them to agree to disagree and split ways
peacefully Breaking down into 3 major continents , This world being massive non
the less the biggest one within the Galaxy holdings its own sun that revolved
around its presence then the other way around. During this time of excavation
an artifact not of this world surfaced deep within the depths of an old dwarves
ruin.. This cube of hieroglyphic marking and engravings emitting a vast amount
of energy in the formation of what some called steam While others called
spiritual essence from the Planets core.. Many scientist, inventors, and even
people of noble decent began to make their way from around the world to this
keen location.
Those who made this
pilgrimage over toward this artifact and were able to place its hand upon it
presence were engulfed in a bright essence and given a knowledge not of this
world. Those who could not hold this immense form of power that would fall over
their beings died to the Great Magic. Those who were able to retain such a
knowledge were revered as the chosen ones. And those chosen ones began to bring
what they learned to a world that was not ready for its knowledge.
Year 1328 D.z
The scientific growth and upgrades in technological
devices Exploding in size over the next
18 years setting the world in a completely different course then where it was
originally headed. Machinery and the adaptations of science became the
prominent and keen sources of money formed a lifestyle reforged around
machinery. Harnessing the power of the cube which extended itself in the form
of steam transferred that essence to power everything within this world. While
machinery had become the new form of everything. Scientist on the other hand
were able to tap into the very frame of the humanoid soul pushing it to its limits
and being able to press into the
supernatural bringing Magic into the
array of the world. The very primitive form of spell casters who are bound to
casting through spell book or wand.
Out of the 3 main rulers that sought after this world. It
was hard for them to come to terms with everything that had been happening.
Within the lands of valcia people believed the spiritual essence or steam was
to be put back for it was not for mankind’s hands to engorge in godly
materials. And secluded themselves from anything that revolved around steam.
Their technology though up to date fell far behind thion but avoided the
aspects of war keeping its golden age.
While Valcia wanted nothing to do with its brethren’s meddling drenjia
on the other hand sought out the steam. They did not want it to further
increase their technology but wanted to grasp its spiritual essence and use it
to increase the potential in magic based things. Tapping into “Gods magic” As they liked to
call it allowed for them to push magic to a whole new realm which enchanted
their realm with mythical and legendary things.
They believed that through magic one could connect with the gods as
never before and sought out to close that gap so they could ask the gods
questions on why this gift was bestowed upon them. Rather than another planet
within the galaxy.
Each continent. Each realm.. Having their own reasons and
ways to deal with things caused for the 3 realms to enter an age of silence
where they did not connect with one another in order to allow for each to
decide what they were going to do with their land and lives.
Year 1346 D.z
The Power that
runs their machinery and fuels the power is based off of a water infused stone
that the people of thion have come to call Mako , The spell books that fuel this supernatural
power people have come to call Effigies.
To add onto all of the chaos due to the scientific exploration they have
also opened up rifts of energy called Eta portals that have allowed for extraterrestrial
life to seep into the world of thion. Some of the beings that emerge from this
portal being humanoid based while others being feral creatures. As the first
original Eta portal made its way into existence the very fiber of its existence
spawned a calamity of other portals to appear throughout the world. At first
the merging of life forms from the calamity caused for a great war to set out
as racism casted down on the symbiotic beings. The war lasted for a good 50
years before the world around them suffered more than the casualties of the
war. Radiation from atomic bombs as well as the wasted sludge from all of the
bi product of the mako scared the very Native plains of thion. No longer had humans and symbiotic beings. Sought out to kill
each other but set their sights on trying to rebuild the world that they destroyed
together. Though the racism did not come to pass symbiotic beings have rose to
be the bigger out of the 2 and branch toward the greater cause
To even make their cause to fight for a little harder
through the experimentation with the dark arts there has been a race created
called the half breeds which are monsters fused with various creatures. Upon
being created and deemed failed experiments were cast outside of the city
banished from existence with mankind. The half breeds feeling as if what was
done to them was in just have sided with
the werewolves and vampires in assaulting and reclaiming various cities
throughout the land. With constant struggle for claiming territory as well as
the fight in restoring the land. The government issues out a partition called
Aida. Aida is a government contract which releases the location of a large
dungeon or crypt that has not been explored. When the location is given out you
must accept the contract as dive within its depths to retrieve whatever it has
to offer. And the government pays you for all of your work. This encourages
people to explore the old world and keep things to hold to heart and memory.
Year 13503 D.z
While some people throughout the world worry about only the
small time effects between lore and time itself. There are things that have
happened even past that. Due to the
excessive use of the steam the world had been consumed by a blanket of matter
that no one has been able to identify. The blanket of matter blocking all
things from entering into the planet and from leaving the planet thus blocking
off all communication from the outside world and another planets. Thus the
people who have been trapped upon the planet have come to call it the blight. The 3 rulers rather than working together
have chosen to ignore the Blight and worry about their own land. Each one
holding out for their own reasons.
Though the rulers may think this has come to be the best options people
within the lands don’t agree and have actively been working toward uniting the
lands. Looking to start the campaign this Monday being for group one. And the american group being sometime that week.
