Image finder doesn't find much

Most of the time, when I am trying to find maps or tokens which I know exist online (just googled them for example) the image search doesn't show them but very often gives me a whole lot unrelated stuff. It also seems unable to find German named images. Is there something we are doing wrong or does it get its images from such a limited number of pages?
Yes the finder is pretty useless!

try changing the search box to 'Everything' Also, use part of the URL in the search name (but leave out the .com I think) <a href="https://ddeitcqodwcy1.cloudfront.net/wp-content/up" rel="nofollow">https://ddeitcqodwcy1.cloudfront.net/wp-content/up</a>... I searched tacos in google, then used this link. I entered 'corn-taco-bake-1' into the search bar on Everything and was able to find it (so basically search by the image name, not the URL) It isn't perfect, but I think you can find almost anything you can google.
I always have it set to everything but that just shows me more junk. URLs never worked. I just tried again and it's frustrating. The image name is pretty clear but it shows me a dozen things with vaguely related names. Entering the URL or part of it sends it searching endlessly.

I use same techniques as Jake said. Grimtina, would you want to share the google-found URL that you're trying that's searching endlessly? Maybe I could test out that same pic and see if I recognize a way to find it.
One example It's not so annoying with maps as I usually upload them if it is not a one shot, it is annoying for those scenes and images I may only need to show for a minute or two.
doesn't work for me still, it searched for 20 min then I gave up. So what am I doing wrong? I do allow all scripts from here.

Grimtina, did you go in your campaign and try the search term just as Silvyre displayed it? (It's a search for the file name without the http:// start, just in case that helps). If the problem is persisting even with that exact search technique, then, here are the standard Roll20 Troubleshooting steps to follow. This should help find if there's something causing your Search to hang and spin.&nbsp;Can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you.
I had several instances earlier today where the exact same two images were all that showed up, over and over. Later that hour, I used the same search word and many items showed. Maybe the search algorithm gets hiccups like everything else.
The Art Library has several "keywords" that you can type in to find many great resources such as maps and tokens. A handful that I use are below: ranger fighter townsfolk village spider goblin cave token mage The searcher's been changing a lot recently, and a lot of my favorite tokens are no longer easily searchable, ex. ranger. x.x The only workaround I currently have is the following:&nbsp; <a href="https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw" rel="nofollow">https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/search/?keyw</a>... If you continue clicking more, the first 20 token packs are COMPLETELY FREE TO USE! However, in-order to make it easily searchable, you'll have to open each individual token, add it to your library, then give it a tag, which takes a while.&nbsp;I wish the DMs would add all the free token packs to the Purchased tab though, it would make life a ton easier. *coughhelpplscough* For maps, switch your searcher to "Everything" and then type "DnD Map" or "dnd map castle" or etc. That'll help ya out a lot hopefully. ^^&nbsp; <a href="http://i.imgur.com/51QAH06.png?1" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/51QAH06.png?1</a>
One of the first things I did when starting work on my game was set up a PINterest account to gather images. &nbsp;At first it's a bit random, but once you build up a profile of search criteria it gets much better at feeding you the images you want, and you quickly discover other members who are collecting the same type of thing and can share images with them. I have a number of folders of images now including Locations, Characters, Map Art and Objects/Treasure, and i just pop-on there every now and then to review the latest offerings and add to my collections.&nbsp;

On all computers, laptops and the tablet. Browser matters not. I don't have add ons which could interfere asides from NoScript, but even if that's off,no difference.&nbsp; Addblock is disabled on here anyway. Firewall on or off, no change.Different virus scanners, on or off matters neither. I did manage to find the tacos though, but unfortunately that's not what I need :) Edit: I just tried in the other campaign and for the first time ever it did find the map. No clue what changed.
you could always just download it, then upload it.

I'm not sure either Grimtina, why it worked in 1 campaign and not the other. If you go back to the original campaign, is it still failing to find this graphic on the same search that works in your other campaign? If you want to pursue this as a Bug / Technical Issue, I will provide the troubleshooting steps (which you've already done some of the steps) and at the end it will ask you to provide your Console Log to help the devs diagnose the issue.
Double-check the search criteria, it could've been off, and it's the easiest thing to miss.

I found the token packs but when clicking or double-clicking on a token image in the pack I just get a BIG image of the token on my screen and there is nothing but to click on it and it goes away. My hats off to the token artists, especially Devin Night they are awesome. But if we can download token packs by purchasing them, why cannot we download the free ones?
It works sometimes now but not always. If I supply the exact image name and Google finds it on the first few results it seems to work most of the time. I can't upload images I only need for a scene or two, not enough space. I used to do that, but finding and deleting images from the library, which is so unsorted, is a pain, and depending on when I try to do that it will take several minutes for an image, time I don't have when GMing.
