When I entered my real name into the sign up form, I didn't realize it would become my username. I would prefer to be anonymous, and have a username that is a nickname I choose. Now I can't change it. I only provided my real name because this is a service I payed for, and thus felt compelled to be honest. I would rather not have my real name be visable and searchable online. I've had stalkers before, etc.

Clayton, If you go to your My Account page (<a href="http://app.roll20.net/account" rel="nofollow">http://app.roll20.net/account</a>) you should see a field called "Display Name". You can change that to a nickname if you prefer. We are working to respect that field throughout the site (so let us know if you change it and you are still seeing your real name anywhere but your (private) My Account page). In addition, you may need to specifically change your name on the forum software as well, here: <a href="http://community.roll20.net/profile" rel="nofollow">http://community.roll20.net/profile</a> (click on "Edit My Account") on the right-hand side toward the bottom. I have changed my display name at . When I go to and click "Edit My Account" a pop-up window opens displaying my real name, e-mail address &c. I can select my name in that window, but I can't change it. I prefer not to use my real name on the 'Net because every now and again I get spammed with hate messages having to do with my surname.

Okay, I've changed the way this works. Now all you need to do is change your Display Name in your Roll20 Account. Then the next time the forum software gets the info from Roll20 (which should happen right away if you click on the "Forum" link when you're in Roll20), it should pull that in and update your name on the forums as well. It's retroactive, so any old posts will also be changed to your new Display Name. Let me know if that doesn't work for you! Thanks, Riley
