API Idea: XP Counter

Hi Guys, I'm pretty sure the following is doable with an API (seeing some of the API's out there) but since I don't know how to do API's I figured I would put it out there in case it inspires someone: Basically it would be a script that would keep track of defeated opponents XP for the lazy GM. I guess the monster would need to have an XP value field under its attributes that when the token gets marked with the red cross (or any other marker) it would take the XP value and add it to the counter. Let me know if you think this is possible. Cheers! AG

Just thinking out loud here.... I would take a different approach...  Place an ICON like this on the GM Layer.  Its worth the total XP for the encounter, traps, monsters, treasure.... (blue circle 10,00 XP) Red is 50 of 100 (50%... so I can even over award.... 110% if I like.) When the party has cleared a map to thier liking/ability an API can look for all these icons on the map and do the math.... total XP for the map. GM can add as many of these as they like, add whatever ever names to them they like.... and then API can give a detail "XP report." You could even add player control (its on the GM layer so they can't touch them.) This way you can get XP by player. Stephen = 5,321 XP Aarron = 5,251 XP Vince = (- 572 XP)     Total = 10,000 XP
