Beacon Lantern or Flash Light effect?

I posted this in the roll20 community over in Google+, no one knew how to do accomplish it, so i am posting it here as well: HELP! I have dynamic lighting and think it is great, and use it for all the typical purposes. I have one big issue. How do you simulate a 'beacon lantern'(or a flash light)? In case you are not sure what a beacon lantern is, consider it a flash light. It is a lantern that sends out a single beam in one direction. Is there any way to simulate that effect within roll20? i need it to be mobile. the players will be carrying it while walking through the map....any ideas on how to simulate this effect?

Presently, there isn't a way to have directional light in the dynamic lighting system.
thanks for the quick reply. this would be a great addition. hopefully it can go on the (probably huge) 'to do list' thanks again

Welcome! Pretty sure you're not the first person to ask for targeted or beam light. The Devs continually work to improve Roll20's features.
Currently the only way to simulate a bullseye effect is to have a second light source tuat you manually place in tue right place when its relevent
You can have directed light sources if they're static... as in don't move, by placing the light source and then drawing dynamic lighting lines to direct the light where you want it to go.

You could also have the GM group a V shaped line (to create the extents of the light cone) with a token emitting light on the dynamic lighting layer and then move the object around as dictated by the player. It's just a lot of heavy lifting on the GM's part. Especially since you can't rotate light blocking walls presently.
