LFPs - D&D Next - Up to 100 players - 4-6 per Session

I am hosting a campaign that will play at listed times that I specify when I have time. I will try to post them in advance as much as possible. It essentially will be a first come first play for each session with a tie breaker for who signed up first. First game session is 5:30PM Eastern time tomorrow 7/10. LFG Thread is here: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/6636/d-and-d-next-playtest-extravaganza
Have 3 players signed up for the first game which is today at 5:30PM Eastern time. Even if you can't make this session, there will be more coming at random times within the range listed.
When do you plan to run your games? Will they all be 5:30 EST?
No, They will range between 4:30 Eastern time, to 7:30PM on Monday-Thursday, and between 9AM and 8PM(6PM on Sundays) on weekends. Weekend sessions will probably be less common. The intention is to have players play a specific scenario with premade characters. Attendance is far from mandatory, just ask if you can to sign up for one at least once a month. That is why I am accepting up to 100 players. Sometimes sessions will be on short notice and I'm going to try to see if I can gather the required players(3-5 min, 6 max typically).
Two Sessions tomorrow (again around 2 hours each). One at 5PM and one at 7:30PM Eastern time. They will run if we get 3-6 players. First come first serve!
Trying to see if I can get a session going tonight, maybe 8:30PM, please sign up if interested! I'm going to be away for an 1hour and a half, but will be accepting invites after I get back. 4 Characters are ready to go....
me and a buddy would like to play we are making characters right now unless you have pre gens
I am extremely new to Roll20 and new to the actual "real" way to play DnD. When I was a kid, my friends and I would just get together and kind of wing it with no real idea of the rules and how to play. So in all honestly this will be my first ever REAL game of DnD. Since this is an online version, do I still need any information to play? Character sheets? Dice? Or is all of this through the client the DM sets up? Sorry if there is a forum sticky somewhere that I can read all of this. Just a new guy looking to have some fun. Cheers!
Signups in campaign are now listed for: 7/15 4:30PM, 7/16 4:30PM, 7/19 12PM, and 7/19 2PM (all Eastern Time). Request invite to be able to sign up to sessions in advance, first signup first play!
In an effort to make it more player centric, and also make it be extremely quick paced to test the Playtest materials different aspects of characters at different levels. I am implementing a survival mode quick leveling system for levels 1-20. Details can be found here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/242643/planning-on-switching-to-this-thoughts-feedback-appreciated#post-242643 It will still use the first sign up first play method.
I have added a trial run session for the new campaign Dragon Portal at 7:30PM Eastern time tonight. It is an arcade style. I have also a drop in/drop out feature. Players can now show up late and drop in at the next available encounter. They can also leave following any encounter. The current max will be set at 6 characters at any one time and the encounters will be scaled to number of players. Also there is a new "feature", players can either have their own version of a pre-gen, or they can now make their own characters. Keep in mind characters in this new style need to be ready to level fast so if you make your own please preroll all of the necessary HP increases, and list any additional spells that will be selected etc as your character levels up.
Hi! i have played D&D 3.5 (and GMed too!) before, I'm looking for a group to play in and I would love to try out the new D&D Next! If it's possible to join today I would like to do so, please let me know... thanks!
PM sent with the link, the more the merrier. I am trying to get enough players that we always have a full 6 for every session. I thought the trial run of the new campaign went really well last night. Some minor tweaks are required, but it went well.
