Macro Help Request for Basic Fantasy Wandering Monster Table

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen out there in virtual land, I'm working on a new macro for wandering monsters, as you might have guessed, what I'm trying to do is use the new drop down menu options with it. Here is what I've got so far /w gm &{template:default} Template:Name=**Wandering Monster** {{Encounter(s)= d6}cs<?{Target Number?|1}cf>7<?{Target Number?|1} }} {{Type= [[1t[?{Table? (Desert or Barren, Dungeon Level 1, Dungeon Level 2, Dungeon Level 3, Dungeon Level 4-5, Dungeon Level 6-7, Dungeon Level 8+, Grassland, Inhabited City Day, Inhabited City Night, Inhabited Territories, Jungle, Mountains or Hills, Ocean, River or Riverside, Swamp, Woods or Forest, Special)|Woods or Forest}]]]}} As you can tell there are a lot of tables that need to be referenced and it would be much easier to just drop down instead of typing in the specific table each time. I know, obvious but I felt it had to be said. ;) Also is there a way to set up the rollable tables to roll for the number of creatures encountered for each individual entry on that table? For Example: If I roll an encounter with a group of brown bears and they appear in groups of 3 to 18 at a time; is there a way to have this done in the table without needing to type in a new dice roll command? My real issue is that I don't really understand the whole Drop Down Menu commands. Is there a reference for how to use the command somewhere? I hope that is clear but if not please feel free to drop a line and I'll try to clear it up as much as my limited ability will allow. Peace All --Mike
Unfortunately Roll-able tables cannot be used to roll more numbers, you can put in there 1d8 Gnolls, but it won't roll the number. A dirty work around is that you can copy and past the roll back into chat and it will then roll the number.  I do hope they implement a way to do this in the near future, it would make multiple tables possible and help a lot of us.

Well, it's good to know but it sucks that there is no way to do it. That will save me a lot of time. I can stop looking for the way to do it. Thanks Ed, I appreciate it my man.
No problem Happy gaming
So anyone got a lead on the Drop Down Menu stuff, or an idea how to do it?

What I've been doing is roll the dice when calling the table.&nbsp; Something like: /w gm &{template:default} or /w gm &{template:default} obv this one is a 1 in 6 chance for a monster and then the die I use before I call the table is the max number of possible monsters in one encounter. my table looks something like: Orcs (1-4) Crab Spiders (1-2) Kobolds (1-6) etc. and I adjust the number of monsters based on the ratio rolled.&nbsp; So 2(d6) Crab Spiders (1-2) would give one Crab Spider and 8(d8) Zombies (1-2) would be two Zombies. Mostly because I don't feel like manually rolling again for the numbers of creatures. :) The only documentation I know of right now about the drop-downs is from Riley's news post on them: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2217049/slug%7D" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2217049/slug%7D</a> Drop-Down Prompts for Roll Queries We've added a new feature to the Roll Queries which allows you to specify a list of options which can be presented to the player, rather than only a free-form text field. Here's the syntax: ?{Name of Query|Option1|Option2|Option3|Option4|Option5} You can also specify a different value for the result other than label like so: ?{Name of Query|Label 1,value1|Label 2,value2} Hope that helps. Edit: apparently I need to type and find links faster.. :)

A sample drop-down query macro: &{template:default}} {{name=@{selected|character_name} tries to resist.}} {{?{Which resistance?|Channeling ,**Channeling** RR: [[1d100 + chansave} ]]|Essence ,**Essence** RR: [[1d100 + esssave} ]]|Mentalism ,**Mentalism** RR: [[1d100 + mentsave} ]]|Chan/Ess ,**Chan/Ess** RR: [[1d100 + chanesssave} ]]|Chan/Ment ,**Chan/Ment** RR: [[1d100 + chanmentsave} ]]|Ess/Ment ,**Ess/Ment** RR: [[1d100 + essmentsave} ]]|Arcane ,**Arcane** RR: [[1d100 + arcanesave} ]]|Poison ,**Poison** RR: [[1d100 + poisonsave} ]]|Disease ,**Disease** RR: [[1d100 + diseasesave} ]]|Fear ,**Fear** RR: [[1d100 + fearsave} ]]|Will ,**Will** RR: [[1d100 + willsave} ]]} }}
Hey Diana, Thanks for your help with this. With your examples and directing me to Riley's post I was able to get the menus working the way I wanted them to. I'll need to experiment with the different values thingy but that's for sometime in the future.&nbsp; I'll have to get better at using Macros first. Once again thanks so very much for your help. I really do appreciate it. Peace --Mike
Just for fun here is the table I worked out. Of course it does reference Rollable Tables that need to be set up first in order for the Macro to work properly. /w gm &{template:default} Template:Name=**Wandering Monster** {{Encounter(s)= d6}cs&lt;?{Target Number?|1}cf&gt;7&lt;?{Target Number?|1} }} {{Type= [[1t[?{Terrain|Desert or Barren|Dungeon Level 1|Dungeon Level 2|Dungeon Level 3|Dungeon Level 4-5|Dungeon Level 6-7|Dungeon Level 8+|Grassland|Inhabited City Day|Inhabited City Night|Inhabited Territories|Jungle|Mountains or Hills|Ocean|River or Riverside|Swamp|Woods or Forest|Special}]]]}}
