Images not uploading.

Hi. Recently I've been having an issue where images won't upload properly. They fully complete the upload process, and even show an image as preview... But when the upload process in complete, the image comes up with a broken link image in the gallery where the image should be. This has been an issue for a long while now, but has been linked almost exclusively to when you upload images through the Journal (like when selecting the image for a character sheet). I've never minded that, as it still does show the image on the sheet - you just can't use it as a token or view it in the gallery. Now, however, this issue is occurring with the normal uploading process straight to the gallery, making me not be able to use any new tokens or images that I upload. I hand-make my player's tokens for my games, so this is incredibly frustrating. All uploaded images are .gif files. I'm using Chrome. My internet settings have not changed since this has started occurring from when it was not occurring.

Try converting them to a .jpg, or a .png file if you need transparency.

As Metalburnout says, change the file type to .jpg or .png and make sure the file isn't larger than 5MB.
I have jpg files sized at 539K.  if I drag/drop or Choose a File, the first image is replaced by the second.  How do I post multiple images to a Journal

Handouts only support one primary picture. Uploading a new picture will overwrite the original.
A player has given me links to images he wants to use for his tokens, but I'm having trouble placing them. I tried copy-pasting, but the map only seems to paste things you've already drawn on and copied from the map. And I've tried dragging the image onto the map, but that doesn't seem to do anything. I only seem to drag images to the map from the Art Library. Previous posters here said something about uploading images, but I can't seem to find how and the wiki doesn't seem to say anything regarding that.

ShichiNoBushi, your issue is not a bug and should have been asked in the specific use forum in it's own thread so that it will get attention it deserves. In answer to your specific question, please read the  Placing_Images_onto_The_Tabletop wiki page and post any questions in the  Specific Use forum .
I am having the same issue as OP, jpeg images of about 60kb each, only "broken image" when I try to use them, originally completed upload without throwing any errors.

Asaram, Similar problems often have dissimilar causes, for this reason we prefer each user to start their own thread here in the bug forum.  That being said, before we dive into the guts of the issue, we're going to need you to do a few things for us, things that sometimes fix issues for users before more extensive troubleshooting is needed. Can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues checklist to see if one of those components is causing the problem? We can only help if we can recreate your issue, so it is important that you follow each step. If doing that fixes the issue, just let us know. Otherwise, move on to Step 4 , and we'll need all that information to further assist you.  Just start a new post here in the bug forum with your findings.
My apologies GenKitty, had I seen this earlier I would have followed that issue-tracking path, but as it stands it seems the issue was sorted by changing the images from jpeg to jpg and as such I have no, for now, outstanding issues. That said however, would you like for me to post this as a separate thread? PS: 1 to 3 were done already and did not solve the issue, only renaming did. :)
