After the big battle, we break into our jobs to repair and secure the BlueBoy base. Joseph performs surgery on Eusyl and heals his damage but fails his roll on the dog spit toxin. Kyle reprograms the Combat Bots to obey us and respond to the password "Maplethorpe". This makes the robot recognize the speaker as a friend. Eusyl repairs the atomic reactor and basically gives us unlimited SEU's. We can charge all our goodies. Rodworth calls the Butler and the phone is answered by a robot. Rodworth asks the computer to stop the police, but none were dispatched. Rod starts talking to Eye about his rent and services. They come to an agreement on rent. He pays his first month of rent with video equipment so we could set it up for security. Kyle mounts an electrostunner on 2 of the robots to alter the weapons available to defense of the base. Rod drags the de-cyberwared bodies out on the street...as a sign to those approaching to stay away. We hack the base computer and get it to cough up it's information. As Rodworth is leaving the building, he's approached by a well-dressed yazirian with a shoulder camera. He's a rep from Interstellar Entertainment, looking for a story. Rodworth offers up an interview. Joseph and Bal head off to the monorail so that Joseph can make the race. They see a large guy by the train station. The guy is wearing a thick skeinsuit, a spacesuit and a screen. He has every weapon known to man strapped to his body. He's watching everyone going by, with a big grin on his face. When asked, he just says, "I'm looking for somebody." As the guys head toward the lift, the guy asks for help finding his friend. He pulls out a photo and asks "Have you seen him?" Yaz says no, but if we see him, we'll let him know. Yaz looks at the photo and sees the collar and recognizes it as a UPF uniform. Yaz and Joseph head up to the station and start preparations. Yaz starts watching things around the bookies to see if there are any fixes in. Something happens at the docking ring, but Yaz and Bal keep an eye on the bookies. Both roll for personality...Yaz failed miserably =) Bal joins him in the flames of failure. The team Joseph was supporting have a rough go of it, but they win at the last minute. Both Yaz and Bal win cash on their bets. Joseph gets paid for his participation (1000 cr). Yaz asks about possibly selling an atomic engine. He finds out they're worth big cash and the Malthar is likely the best person to sell it to. ----fade to black--- The reporter and his crew come back to the building and Rodworth heads out to meet them. Narguu, the reporter, has removed his camera and starts talking to Rod. He asks about the missing students and how he felt about the situation. Rod goes off about the Blueboys and how upset he is about the whole situation and how taking down the Blueboys was a good thing to do. "Now you're in their headquarters, was this revenge?" asks Narguu. Rod answers, "It was a turnabout favor. They destroyed our home, we took theirs." Narguu asks about what the BB's plan was and Rod explains what they were doing with the captives. Narguu thanks him and says he'll be on the news later. Afterwhich, Rod heads off to register the company. We split off the cash and after taxes, we all net 500 SGI's each. We contact the Styrigi's and gain legal control of the building. We have to pay 600 SGI's a tenday for property taxes. We find out that the vault in Steeldove, a day's journey from the Styrigi capital. We plan the flight and head off. Before we leave, Rod and Joseph head off to the Valkyries. As they go, they see all kinds of little drones flying about. They're looking at everyone, ignoring all but Rodworth... ---fade to black--- Back at the base, a group of Yazirian gangers approach the base and demand protection money. Kyle leans out the window with the sniper rifle. He grabs the robots and uses them in a threatening manner toward the monkeymen. Yaz negotiates a deal with the morons on a hireling basis. The goober says we should watch the news, as one of our people has been being profiled. ---fade to black--- Rod, Eusyl and Joseph approach Valkyrie headquarters. Rod gives his weaponry to Eusyl and asks to speak with Artemis. Chickie heads in to get her. Artemis comes to the door, armed with a knife and wearing a skeinsuit. Rod unzips his suit and drops to his knees, surrendering. She takes him to a private room to discuss his actions. A few of the Valkyries approach Eusyl and ask about seeing her in the news. They discuss what we do and offer help if they're able. They mention the fact that the defeat of the BlueBoys really helped them out. They offer their services due to the big favor we did them. Rod lays it out to Artemis, telling him about his brother and his plan on killing him and asks her not to take revenge if he does kill him. He wins her over and she gets all mushy. He says we're leaving but will return soon and says they'll talk when we get back. They all head back to base. We gather our stuff, pack up Gurie and head off to Steeldove. We rent an explorer and head off through some volcanic ground. We arrive at a small cave. In the cave, we discover a rusty door with a set of keyholes. We awaken Gurie and see what we need to do to open the door. It's a plain old locked door. Even looking over the system, it's just a door. Eusyl, Yaz and Bal each take a key and open the door. Inside the room, there is a small spaceship, a Hull Size 2 ship with both a Chemical and Ion drive. It belonged to the triplets father, but it got shot to crap and he landed it here and left it. They were going to try and fix it but never had any money. Inspecting the ship, it really needs some work. The Ion engine is great, but everything else is a mess. We're deciding on the short sale or long term space solution. Joseph is going to try to hypnotize Gurie to make him forget the location of the vault and he succeeds. At the same time, Eusyl and Yaz look over the ship to see what would be needed to make the ship flightworthy. It's going to cost us about 75k to get it up and running. We head back to Styrigia and try and decide where were headed from there. Here we log.
