Pasting maps from PDF to roll20

I'm trying to see if i can run the pathfinder adventure path, Rise of the Runelords. There are maps included with the adventure path PDFs, but i can't find a way to copy and paste them in high res form to roll20. Any ideas? The select function in acrobat reader does not seem to work for images....
Screenshot them and upload the resulting image or save the pdf as .jpg images.
Can't screenshot unless i zoom all the way, which makes the map lower res by default.... Also not seeing a option to save as a image file either....

I've used this site: http://pdf2jpg.net/ to extract pics from a pdf - works pretty well. Pat

Do you have a gimp or photo software like photoshop? If you do then you can select your image and copy it then create a new image with what is in your clip board. I made a short clip and posted it here for another member. Using gimp to make maps from pdfs. The second comment contains additional suggestions also. They were made by oldschoolchris and they work. Now this is also using a windows based pc so if you are using linux or a mac you will have to figure out something else.
You could also extra images with your pdf reader, I use a free version of nitro reader so i can just hit the "extract all images", you'll have to sift through some filler stuff used for the pdfs borders and whatnot though (pretty easy if you open up the window and set files to large image). Also you should be able to right click on an image in a pdf with most readers and click "copy image". I like gimpshop for some things, but I prefer to use paint for doing simple image edits as gimpshop seems to inflate the file size of jpegs I save with it (definitely great for making maps from scratch though. Or making tokens :D )

Buddy Christ, when gimpshop inflates the size are you talking file size or the image size? If file size, what DPI does it save it at? I am guessing it is saving the image at a higher DPI than paint does. - Gauss
oh im sure it's increasing the size due to increased image quality, i just ment that it seems to do it automatically (or did the few times when i compared it).
Here what I do: Take a snapshot of pdf map Download any old jpeg from google images Paste the snapshot onto the useless/ unwanted jpeg: seems to automatically convert Edit/ trim the picture and save. Surprised me after constantly going on my old computer and fiddling with pdf converter (which I couldn't find free online to download onto my new computer). But---iit's not now necessary with procedure outlined above.

I use Imagemajick combined with Ghostscript as my pdf converter. It is a command line converter that can convert many things. Unfortunately, being a command line it is not user friendly but it does have the advantages that it is free and you can dictate the quality of the conversion. - Gauss
