While traveling the High Road through the Mere of Dead Men along the Sword Coast, the fog rolls in with eerie speed. Obscuring your vision, and making continued travel nearly suicidal. In the distance, you spot the orange light of a lantern-fire. Approaching with all necessary caution, you find a two-story inn, apparently open for business. Although the appearance of the inn saved you from wandering through the swamp, ending your life as another creature's meal, there's something about the inn that unnerves you. Perhaps it's the location amidst the haunting backdrop of the apparently desolate swamp. Maybe it's the swinging sign, bearing the image of a weeping willow, complete with a crying, mournful face burned into its trunk. Or maybe your status as a natural born child of the Realms lets you in on the fact that you're not in Waterdeep anymore. And the land in which you find yourself has no love for strangers, and cruel plans in store for you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am looking to form a game using old-school D&D as the basis. You don't have to know anything about old-school D&D to join in. I love the chance to convert modern players to the old ways. All you would have to do is show up and be willing to roll with it. Between macros, and my own experience in this version; you don't really need a deep understanding of old-school D&D. This is not a text-only game, so some kind of microphone is needed. But cameras are not. Character creation can be handled entirely before we start. This is a simpler form of D&D, so it doesn't take so long to create a character. If it goes well, this might be a recurring game. If it does not, it will only be for one game. (But even in this case, it will still be worth doing.) In total, between 4 and 6 players are needed. I hope to hear from you.
