Ability to move token with Arrow keys.

The thought came to me as our DM wanted to know the specific paths we were taking when moving through a dungeon corridor so he would know if we stumbled upon a trap I imagine. It would be so much simpler (and cooler) if we could move our selected token square by square with the arrow keys. I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I thought it was a neat idea.

It's a neat idea. The work around in my game is to have the players use the polygon drawing tool and mark their paths. This lets me see where they moved through.
+1 But not just for grid movement but for "free" movement also.
Yes. +1, and a little on top.
I can see some benefit, but certainly not enough to make it priority. Free movement would be an annoying to set up compared to grid which has everything in a 70x70 pattern. The question is how many pixels would your token move to be consider a single movement space?

I'm assuming "single movement space=square/hex/etc. equivalent. Free movement doesn't work like that. It's based on the actual distance (based on the page settings). I admit that it would be harder to implement but not impossible at all. Basically the "speed" should be small enough that it's easy to use but fast enough to be usefull. The best case scenario would be that one could choose the speed themselves in the page settings or even the token settings.

Interesting idea and suggestion but would that make it more like a video game then a virtual tabletop? If I want to to move tokens around with button presses then why not play one of those free mmorpgs? The graphics would be better and all the combat would be automated then. It is still an interesting suggestion.
No, moving shit around with arrow keys does not make it more like a video game... That's a ridiculous argument against adding this option.

I guess I'm not allowed to express my opinion on how it feels to me. I will now step away from this conversation because someone believes that what my opinion is nothing more than shit and ridiculous. P.S. I've been polite to people here but I do not like being told that my views and opinion is shit and ridiculous. Have a nice day.
I believe the argument is grabbing a token with a mouse is still very much like a tabletop while moving with the keyboard feels completely electronic (his example being a video game). I don't think that's completely wrong or that ridiculous
Well for those that may feel like the feature is too "electronic or video gamey" always have the option of not using it. I just thought it was a nfity idea for convenience and a bit of a time saver.
