LFP, Pathfinder, Saturday starting at 7pm EST

I'm looking for a person who's willing to devote a Saturday afternoon to playing some pathfinder.  The game is supposed to run 7pm EST to 11pm, but we usually are having some fun so it lasts a bit longer. For the upcoming session I'd like for there to be a spell caster and the party doesn't really have one that goes beyond a couple of spells.  This isn't bad or anything because they all do well at what their made to do, which is fine and great.  Our cleric we had missed a few sessions and we don't think he's coming back and we have a ranger who has a broken computer so he can't make it to any sessions atm.  I was wondering if anyone here would like to show up this on coming session as a spell caster, who I can build if you just want to play a game Saturday, or you can build if you'd like (I'll detail further then) and play for a session.  If you'd like you can keep playing with us afterwards. The party consists of a two handed weapon fighter with a penchant for getting swole (he doses enlarge person potions), an upcoming warrior guy of sorts (who I am unsure how it will play), a paladin with a magical sword that hates evil like a barbarian hates words and a gunslinging pipesmoking dwarf.

HIgh combat or High roleplay? and whats the setting? ^^
Sponsor 9. said: HIgh combat or High roleplay? and whats the setting? ^^ Yes and yes, there's usually a fight or two a session.  Night Hunters are an order of men and women and in some cases its that protect people from the creatures of the night.  Demons, vampires, liches and so on plague the world and the world would have been long thrown into destruction if it weren't for these people.  There are adventurers, however they are the people that do things for gold and glory.  Night Hunters do it because it's what they believe to be correct.  I'll be having the spell caster as a passenger in the train that they're taking to the Brass City (Think Arabia).  It wasn't going to be a night hunter, but rather a person who just devoted time to studying magic.  But if you'd like I can change up a lot to make it a character you're more comfortable with role playing.
I'd be down for that. I love spellcasters, do you need a cleric or wizard (clerics are something I prefer). Also, if I could know any house rules you're using ahead of time that'd be awesome
I'm not sure about which house rules I'm using for sure now (we got in a talk about how initiative was handled and it turns out mine is still in the rules).  For criticals we just do the multiplier on it instead of rolling that many times extra to save on space, time and it's pretty much the same anyways.  Also on critical fails we also roll to confirm the fail to see if something bad happens like you drop your weapon or it gets stuck in the tree next to the thing or your bow string breaks and stuff like that.  We've, had so far, only about 3 instances of this.  One of them was on me.  We aren't doing called shots, on the off chance that you hear that.   One player really wants to do it, but it's really easy to abuse a build for it.  (He wants to make things hearts explode or something).  It isn't a very loot heavy campaign either.  You start off with extra gold to make up for this, but the monsters aren't like video game monsters that just carry around the junk of dead adventurers they killed.  Sure if you encounter something that has a want or need to like a yeah, but that skull spider isn't mysteriously carrying around a gold piece inside of it.  Loot instead is handled by the fact that people are usually extremely grateful that you saved their life and they will give you things or you may encounter a night hunter who is willing to trade or give you things. TL;DR: Confrim Crits and Crit Fails, multiply crits, low loot. Yeah you can be a cleric if you'd like.  I'd personally prefer a spell caster because they can have a good variety of spells, but so can some clerics and the party will probably just be happy that you can even heal them.
Sweet, my last question is how you determine ability scores and hit die?

Ah, well I was going to leave this out unless you wanted to make your very own special character that you'll be attending frequently with, but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you're interested. Level 5 25 Point Buy First 3HD maxed Standard Starting Gold An additional 3000 Golds worth of Monster Hunting Items of your choice (Below 3rd CL) 2 Traits You may select a disadvantage to get a 3rd trait, but no more.
I am very interested. Alright sounds good, yeah I'd preffer to play my own. If you like I can give you my skype and we can discuss potential play. But so far it sounds alright! ^.^
Back to looking for a person.  Guy didn't want to join in the end because one of the players is of the alignment evil and that's bad So if anyones interested, chat me up and hopefully we can get ready before the game.  I still have a premade sorcerer, although if you do want to make something else (preferably still in the line of casting spells), that'd be fine too.
