Reloading the editor after turning off the grid breaks the ruler tool

Detailed Description of the Problem After disabling the grid and reloading the editor, all measurements will be returned to as 0, even though prior to reloading, measurement seems to work as intended (equivalent to the grid that had been just disabled) Steps to Reproduce the Problem 1) Load the Editor 2) Load a map with a grid and disable it 2a) Notice how the ruler will still function without the grid in place 3) Reload the editor, the ruler will no longer function on that map for you (other players/ GM will still have the functional ruler until they too reload) Description of Your Setup (Browser + Version, Operating System, etc.) Windows 7, Firefox v40 (though this has been a problem for some versions and other players have reported the same thing)

Before we dive into the guts of the issue, we're going to need you to do a few things for us, things that sometimes fix issues for users before more extensive troubleshooting is needed. Can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues checklist to see if one of those components is causing the problem? If doing that fixes the issue, just let us know. Otherwise, move on to Step 4 , and we'll need all that information to further assist you.
Clearing cache did not solve the issue, and firewall/ addons are not interfering (I disabled both temporarily to make sure and the ruler still breaks). Detailed description already given, and I'm not sure how to better describe it. See here for an image comparison of grid-enabled , grid-disabled (before reloading editor) and then grid-disabled (after reloading editor) . Step by step instructions already given. After playing around with this for a bit, I discovered this only happens if I use hex grids. If you use square grids, the ruler will still work even if you disable the grid. So you might set the grid to square and then disable it as a work around for now. Hopefully we can get it working with hex grids too. Let me know if that work around will work for you for now.
I feel silly for not having thought to check if it would happen with square grids too. Using a square grid should work well enough for now, thanks.
