nWoD mage game - ST looking for 2-4 players.

Good Evening, My game is called Strange Science in Boston and as stated in the city of Boston. Strange things have begun to happen like extreme reactions to the smallest of stimuli. Magic is more random and chaotic than normal. In one moment spells will perform better than expected and then in the next be hindered to the point of uselessness. The Concilium believes it could be a long lasting Paradox but there are no other signs of magic that has failed so terribly to cast such a thing. The cabal has been assembled with the express purpose of uncovering what is wrong. It has become obvious that things will progressively get worse until it can be corrected. They are given access to resources and other materials as needed to uncover what is going on. Nor are they the only cabal tasked with this. It has been given to other young mages to serve as a test. Those who are able to unlock the mystery will have proven themselves to the Concilium and marked themselves are better than their peers. - - - - - The game will of course involve mystery and suspense. With a fair amount of action and adventure. Interaction with the rival cabals will be common enough as is what side each other are all ultimately on. It really though depends on how the group takes to the story seeds and what comes from it. I currently have two other PCs. One of them is an Acanthus Mage from the Adamantine Arrows. The second is a Obrimos from the Mysterium. I want characters that can all interact well with minimal friction. Nor am I looking for the "anti-hero" or some other angst ridden character. If it needs to be stated PCs can only be mages not allowing the other types to be as PCs. I plan to run it on mIRC on Wednesdays at 6:00pm eastern to roughly 11:00pm. On the magicstar forum the OOC (out of character) room is #GamesOOC. Please come there for character discussions. Thank you, Hanako
I'm interested, but cant seem to find your room you wanted us to go to. Any other requirements or restrictions on new characters besides minimal interparty drama and only mages?
I'm one of the players mentioned. Using an mIRC program, the destination is www2.magicstar.net http://client01.chat.mibbit.com/ is an in-browser IRC client you can use. In the connection drop-down tab select "MagicStar [webirc]" give yourself a name, then enter "#GamesOOC" as the channel name.
I am open to many things about the characters. Not min-maxed, or I should say within a reasonable extent. Wisdom cannot be traded in for more bonus points to spend at character creation. I want the characters to feel alive, I am willing to work to try to incorporate nearly any concept that would work well with the group.
Just a friendly bump ^_^
Hmm i might be interested. What should we do to start, just go to that chatroom?

Do you think that it wouldn't be suitable for handling it?
Yeah I would prefer playing on r20...something visual is always nice
Hanako stopped looking here, she doesn't like using the site and hopped people would just hop on IRC
Not a really big fan of all the additions this site uses. I don't generally use all of that for the games that I run.
To expand on it, using the map function really doesn't work on my computer or for some other reason. Without a need for grid combat (like DnD) what addition would there be to using the site?
Hanako T., The Roll20 canvas isn't just for tactical maps. You can use any kind of image related to the setting, or to the situation relevant to the game. Places, portraits of characters, etc. You can check out these threads for further clarifications of this point, and some samples: "Show off your individual techniques for roll20" http://community.roll20.net/discussion/3161/show-off-your-individual-techniques-for-roll20#Item_1 "Quick and Dirty Contextual Notes Access" http://community.roll20.net/discussion/2881/quick-and-dirty-contextual-notes-access/p1
I'd like to join if you are still looking for players.
Of course you can. I am looking forward to more players to continue!
