This post will be a roster for some of the important NPCs found in the "Curse of the Crimson Throne (Redux)" campaign. NPC biographies will be concise to keep things manageable. (Also, there are more NPC images here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.904708962902133 ). Queen Ileosa Arabasti She is a young noble from the nation of Cheliax (ex-empire nation who owned Korvosa centuries ago). Came to Korvosa and eventually married Korvosa's King Eodred Arabasti II. Some say that she wants to re-establish closer ties between now-independent Korvosa and Cheliax, while others say that she was after the riches that Korvosa got when it invaded and plundered the Shoanti mines. And a few others say that both motivations are correct. Regardless, Queen Ileosa is now trying to keep the city afloat after so many tragedies and incidents: the death of her husband King Eodred, secret coup d'etat attempts, external threats, bad financial management (King Eodred plunged Korvosa to almost ruin years ago), and the coming winter. To this end, she employs policies that make sense (although opponents will always say the contrary), but she has also proved to use merciless force against dissenters and 'ingrates'.
Cressida Kroft The Field Marshal of Korvosa and leader of the City Guard. She is one of the main pillars of law and order in the unruly and decadent city of Korvosa. Some people joke that she never sleeps or never leaves her duties, always overseeing the myriad of investigations and issues that the City Guard faces. To this end, she has hired the mercenary company "The Lucky Bastards" (owned and formed by the PCs), to carry out secret missions. Cressida keeps a neutral position regarding political affairs and opinions on the monarchy.
Marcus Thalassinus Endrin Commandant of the elite Sable Company marines. By law, he answers only to the missing seneschal Neolandus Kalepopolis. However, the disappearance of his superior and friend has put him in an ever-increasing reckless and rebellious mood. Even though Marcus is destined to succeed Neolandus as the new seneschal, Marcus wants more than anything to find his friend and bring him back to his position, preferring to stay instead as the Sable Company leader. Marcus is a close friend to Cressida Kroft and Vencarlo, and can often be seen with them, relaxing or planning whatever secret missions they wish.
Vencarlo Orisini Vencarlo is a well-known master swordman, who has trained many Sable Company marines and also important members of the nobility and government, such as past Field Marshals. He has an academy in Old Korvosa. He used to train Sabina Merrin (the retainer of the Queen) and Lieutenant Grau Soladi, but the three had a dispute (for which Grau was blamed) and he is now a bit wary to accepting new dedicated apprentices. He is a close friend to Marcus and Cressida, and is often sought to discuss tactical matters.
Grau Soladi A very dedicated and loyal lieutenant of the city guard (previously a sargeant). He is the son of a dishonored soldier and wishes nothing more than to make a name for himself. He also used to train with Vencarlo, but the renowned master swordsman stopped training him because of a personal dispute. He has also suffered due to the recent demise of her sister-in-law Tayce. But despite all these setbacks, he doesn't hesitate to carry out the commands of Cressida Kroft and advance important missions. He is also one of the closest friends that the Lucky Bastards (the PCs) have in Korvosa.
Glorio Arkona Head of the notorious House Arkona. His house became very rich after a vessel they owned returned from distant Vudra, loaded with riches. His ancestors used these riches to further gain power and influence, and eventually ended up owning almost all of Old Korvosa (the northern district). It is a well-known 'secret' that he also controls a lot of illegal trade and vices in Korvosa. Yet he is also the number one suspect behind the King Death riots and the planned coup d'etat against Queen lleosa. Glorio is a man to be respected and feared.

Thousand Bones He is a shoanti diplomat who resided in Korvosa for some time to try to solidify better relationships between the Korvosan and the shoanti. He later disappeared and was imprisoned by a necromancer named Rolth, who was experimenting on him. When rescued by the Lucky Bastards, the shoanti shaman gathered his belongings and left the city, saying that something very ominous might be happening. Why he left? What he fears? What he plans to do now? All of these are unanswered questions.
Trinia Mabor She is an artist who was accussed of poisoning and killing King Eodred. She also was seen with the dissident guard Verrik, who was working to destabilize the city and to carry out other plans for the Arkonas. A hunt was carried out to seek her, and the Lucky Bastards (the PCs) eventually captured her. She was schedules to be executed, but was rescued by legendary vigilante Blackjack.
Rolth A criminal and necromancer, Rolth has been causing troubles for Korvosa behind the scenes for quite a long time. He is responsible for some kidnappings including the capture of shoanti shaman Thousand Bones, on which he experimented within his lair in the Dead Warrens cemeteries.
