How to move measured without a grid

Hello, I have created a test module for a skirmisher what is using no grid. How can I move a token / player a given distance? As far as I you have to measure with the measure tool, keep the maximum range in mind and than move your token with the select tool to position. Is there a better way to do this? Such as seeing the moved distance when moving the token? Regards
Roll20 Wiki said: The Waypoints system allows you to indicate where you're moving to everyone in the game. To use it, just press the "Spacebar" key while you are moving a token. A ruler will appear showing you how far you have moved from your current location. If you want to place a waypoint, press the "Spacebar" again while you are on top of the space you want to move through. A waypoint will appear. You can add as many waypoints as you want showing the path of your token. When you're finished, just release the token like normal at its final destination.
Thank you. Its not exactly what I need as you see the distance after moving and not while moving. I think we will work around with premeasuring the distance. Greetings
Then you're not doing it right.  Pick up the token with your mouse. NOW press spacebar. Now when you move the token around it shows you the distance.

Tobias, the method they are talking about functions live as you move your tokens. As Quatar stated, you will need to click on the token and hold your button (as if you are going to move it) then tap your spacebar. This will bring up a distance measurement that changes as you move your token. The  waypoint is an additional spacebar tap that basically drops a static marker on that point. ' This allows you to account for changing your directions while still measuring your distance traveled.
Thank you. I have tried. Works well.
