I was trying to play a game today, and I waited over an hour for someone to respond to me, and I periodicity sent messages letting him know that I was waiting for him. But then it turned out that he hadn't heard a peep from me, and had been waiting for me the entire time. Shouldn't there be some "you have lost connection with the server" or "this player is not connected" message or icon to prevent things like this from happening?
