I am playing around with creating rules for a Modern High Fantasy Variant of 5e D&D,,and would like to get a group together for a one shot, to test some of the alternative rules. Why do this? I am playing around with creating a Modern High Fantasy Setting. No I do not want to run Shadowrun, and no I do not want to use GURPS. I want to create a unique setting, while keeping everything as realistic and balanced as possible. The Idea is basicaly what would happen if a High Fantasy Setting where to scientifically advance to the same stage we are at now. What can I play? Well anything that's in the core book... You will have to get your weapons and armor off of a list I have made up though. Its mostly all pulled from the Players handbook and DMG with minor tweaks for the new rules I cooked up. As far as 3rd Party rules a Gunslinger might work fine if you bring me one that doesn't look like a Power Gamer's wet dream. We play at Level 3, as the way I see it if my rules keep Firearms balanced at lower levels they should probably work at higher levels too. Though I may run a Higher level One shot Later.
