INLINE ROLLS Maximum and Minimum Text Colors for Dice Rolls

You know what would be very helpful and nice is if on the INLINE dice rolls you could have the MAX and MIN rolls be a different color from the regular rolls. GREEN Text for Maximum Rolls (Green text with Yellow box back) RED Text for Minimum Rolls (Red text with Yellow box back) ( Just like the regular /roll dice rolls do )

The Devs are already considering ways to implement this. If anyone has any particular ideas on how they would like to see that happen they would be welcome.  The main question is, how do we highlight the displayed inline roll to represent multiple dice rolling max or min. The hover element is not really a question, just the displayed value.  - Gauss
My suggestion on the mentor forum was to change the inline role background to blue to show that one or more rolls were the minimum or maximum value. Then show those values as red/green when you hover over the inline roll.
+1 to HoneyBadger's idea. Maximum Dice Rolls = BLUE Box Background with Green Text Minimum Dice Rolls = BLUE Box Background with Red Text
While I like the color idea, keep in mind that users with visual impairment and/or color blindness might have difficulty with it. If users could configure the colors used in their settings, that could help, but pure color-based indicators with no alternative are limiting for some folks. Also, what if I roll 2d6 and get 1 and 6? How do you indicate minimum and maximum values in a multi-dice roll? Maybe an ( x min) , ( x max) , or ( x min, x max) indicator after the roll? And a switch in the diceroll syntax to turn this off or on?

Rabulias, so far most of the user ideas (including my own) seem to revolve around notification that a die roll was max or min. Then the user can hover over the inline to see what rolled.  - Gauss
Well with a 2d6 roll, wouldn't the min be 2 and max 12...???...??? I am have never heard of a system or game where you needed to see a min and max for each individual dice roll.  That being said, I am sure that their must be some system or game out there, but I would just mouse over the roll to see the results or just use the standard /roll format if seeing the max / min for each individual dice rolls were a factor. Still like this option the best... Minimum Dice Rolls = BLUE Box Background with Red Text Maximum Dice Rolls = BLUE Box Background with Green Text All Other Dice Rolls = YELLOW Box Background with Black Text
Yeah, access to the CSS for chat would be the best option for everyone. They could then set the colors as they prefer for aesthetics or accessibility.
Ah, I misunderstood HoneyBadger's statement "show that one or more rolls were the minimum or maximum value" -- please carry on. :-)
Actually, I have found some flaws with what we have suggested.  If the back ground for max and min rolls becomes blue, the GM view will show it with no background since the GM's chat view always has a blue background.  So a light blue color different than the GM chat box color might help or just change it up to match the text. So lets try either of these... Minimum Dice Rolls = LIGHT RED Box Background with RED Text Maximum Dice Rolls = LIGHT GREEN Box Background with GREEN Text All Other Dice Rolls = LIGHT YELLOW Box Background with BLACK Text or Minimum Dice Rolls = LIGHT BLUE Box Background with RED Text Maximum Dice Rolls = LIGHT BLUE Box Background with GREEN Text All Other Dice Rolls = LIGHT YELLOW Box Background with BLACK Text Also, it might be nice to be able to drag the inline roll total to the turn order box.
I was working on my macros today and thought this would be a very nice feature, seeing as the normal rolls are so cumbersome on my UI. I would appreciate this as a feature. Master MJ said: Minimum Dice Rolls = LIGHT RED Box Background with RED Text Maximum Dice Rolls = LIGHT GREEN Box Background with GREEN Text All Other Dice Rolls = LIGHT YELLOW Box Background with BLACK Text What Master MJ said about the colors sounds like it would be the best way to display them, I think. Please make this happen.
