Player has problems using Hangouts and Roll20 on Mac

Hello, I'm the GM of a game and I have a player (Bob) that is unable to join our game via hangouts. He has a Mac with OS 10.6.8 and claims to have just installed Chrome (moments before attempting to join our game). I was trying to help him create a character, one-on-one, so no other players involved. We had no problem using the built in Roll20 interface, with voice and video, but he was unable to get it running in hangouts. Since he and I are not in the same city, I'm unable to see his computer... More details: - He and I can chat in Hangouts no problem. - He tried using the drop down "Launch in Google+", and said he was asked if he wanted to 'invite others'. There didn't seem to be a request for permission to link Roll20 and Hangouts. - He didn't see either the Roll20 app in Hangouts, nor an ellipse ' ... ' to add the Roll20 app to hangouts. - We tried restarting hangouts, and then I tried starting the Roll20 app after he was in hangouts. This made no difference. - I have successfully helped another player (Rick) create a character via Roll20 in Hangouts. The other player has a Windows computer. - While I'm pretty savy with Windows PCs, I've not used Macs much since the 90s... (the beige ones...). Is this some basic Mac thing I'm unaware of? - The player with the issue (Bob) has a gmail account, but no Google+ account (that he is aware of). Any suggestions? Perhaps this is something basic that I'm missing. Cheers!

The first step is to review all the information in this guide: https://wiki.roll20.net/Playing_in_Google%2B_Hango... In my experiences as a player in Roll20-via-Google+ games, the GM will launch the game in Google+ and then send the players a hangout link and the players use that link to join the game on game-day. If the guide does not help, please let us know at what point the guide stops being accurate for your situation so we can start troubleshooting from there.
We figured this out. What worked in the end was that the player started a Roll20 session via 'Launch in Google+' and then invited me, the GM... Not exactly what's implied in the wiki, but at least it worked.
