Welcome to the League of Exceptional Players. (LEPers? We're working on the name. >.>;;; *cough*) We're looking for one more experienced player who loves sandbox
roleplaying and getting really into a campaign. This Firefly-based campaign has
been going on for 13 episodes so far and has drastically changed since its
inception.
A massive assault has occurred on Londinium, destroying
parliament while other attacks took out the cortex relays, effectively shutting
down communication between the worlds and the economy since most money is
handled via electronic credits.
Most people don’t know what happened or why, but the PCs do
and they are becoming bent on finding a solution to the crisis and possibly getting
revenge on the people responsible. Meanwhile the second unification war is in
full swing, so what effect the attacks have had on this is yet unknown.
The story is progressively becoming more and more epic and
currently features four characters: Vincent Calloway: hacker, healer and son of a small mafia
family Hank “Roulette” Ward: pilot, musician and ex-alliance air force “Hopper” the Hunter: tank, bounty hunter, ex-alliance marines and new leader of
“Pheonix Company” a for-profit and for-good merc group in its first baby steps Amir “Triple A” Abdul-Aziz: mechanic, scientist and ex-space gypsie
This is not a game for the faint of heart, those who don’t
know how to cooperatively game play and come up with tasks and goals via your
own initiative. Yes, I am trying to scare you away. We've had 3 guest players who were not good fits. So I've written up a list...
What we are looking for: Initiative and creativity Self-made goals/secrets/hooks for your character (Including how/why you want to be around the group) Cooperative game play Well-rounded character On-time, open minded, friendly Use Skype, ideally regularly in case of downtime questions, and know proper
microphone etiquette (Such as muting when you repeatedly crackle wrappers)
What we are not looking for: Beer and pretzel-style players. Please don’t antagonize as a way of ‘making the story interesting.’ If the
PCs can’t like your PC, I will not be forcing them to keep your PC around.Your PC does not have a green light above their head that makes the other characters immediately like or trust you. Please do not make your character flat such as saying “My goal is to be the
best shooter in all the Verse” and then not know what to do during a
negotiation or political event or complex situation or anything that isn’t a
mechanical battle. Apathy or lack of effort into the game/character. OOC drama or negativity or bigotry/racism/etc of any kind. tipin s3nt3nc2s lik thus (Basic grammar/spelling preferred. I typo as much as anyone, but there are typos and then there is this.)
What we promise you: Lots of fun! These PCs pull off some wild and crazy stunts sometimes.
Sometimes they fail horribly too. Always we try to have a lot of fun and most
importantly, we stay friends OOCly. Support! Don’t know the system? That’s okay. We’re happy to help you learn.
Systems are easy, finding a roleplayer with our level of passion and drive is
much harder. Attention. I put a ton of time and effort into this game and that includes
regularly handling questions or small side projects between games for players. Open communication. Got a concern? I'll listen without being aggressive or defensive. A rich world that can allow you to accomplish almost anything in-game. NPCs
with real backgrounds and personalities and secrets. Achievements to unlock, tales to
weave and more. I am not stingy with loot and I am not stingy with XP. When you start, once I’ve
checked out your starter sheet, I’ll be bumping you up to the same XP level as
the other players. If you've made it this far, awesome! Send me a line, let's see if we're a good fit for each other. Details: Roll20 for maps and rolls, Skype for voice chat / group instant message chat we use over the week. Play time is every Saturday from 2 p.m. to roughly 6:30 p.m. EST. Sometimes we stop earlier, sometimes we stop later (though if later we check in with everyone first) System: Savage Worlds with some home rules included in a homemade primer for download.
