5e campaign, new players

What setting are you guys using?

I'd be down, but I can't play till my kid goes to sleep. That's usually by 8:00 PM. I'm new to the D&D setting and 5e. I've got a copy of the player's guide. I have a finished low level character I can try and dig up. I think I made a gnome wizard geared toward investigations, lol. If that sounds like not a good fit, I can roll something else no problem.

just to add, we will be using voice comms for our sessions, video is not required. Jeff, it is going to be forgotten realms, 5e. Amanda, sounds good, is just going to be a matter of finding out other players timeframes.  Also, is that 8pm pacific you are referring to? Chris, what timeframe are you available for?  does 8pm pacific work for u as well?

I'd be able to make 8pm on wednesdays probably if you still have room, have the phb. about how long will the sessions last?

i would expect 3-4 hours, possibly longer, depending on everyone else.  but 3-4 would be my assumed typical length

that'd be fine on my end, even having to start later wouldnt be to much of an issue

I'm interested, and am extremely new to this game. I've seen enough streams and videos to understand the concept, but haven't had much hands on actual play, am willing to get into it. :) 

I am interested.  I have tried to play in the past with some friends but they always seem to quit before we can finish a session.  I am available all day on Wednesdays.

Never played before...5e that is. Haven't played at all in over 10 years. I'd love to pick it up again. As far as time...7 pm or later would be awesome. That's 10 pm my time since I'm EST but that way kids are in bed so no distractions. I tend to gravitate towards fighter type rolls and dwarves are a favorite race. I may roll a character today just to play around and see what happens. I just printed off the free player's guide to read through. Please let me know if there's a spot for me in the game. Thanks!
