Looking for a permanent group for podcast and continued gaming

Trying to find a good group of people that want to start to game on a weekly basis that we can trade out GM'n with different games. I am also looking to start a podcast and delve into some game creation. I am a indie game developer and software engineer and would love to have a group we can create and play some games.  You need to be able to meet weekly. Have the ability to chat live, video or voice, willing to have fun, and wanting to build a group of good players and friends.  You can hit me up here or message me your info and why this interests you.
Let me follow up on some things so I get the right people. While the games will be once a week, having people interested in working on games and being able to "hang out" more often is key. I find a group of friends gaming is better than a group of strangers, and I know I can't be the only one looking for a online group of friends that can meet and game and share ideas who do not live in the same city.
I'm just going to toss this out, because I've considered it myself in the past: A podcast requires big personalities, and a group of people who work well off each other. The chances that you find that by happenstance on a forum is slim (but not impossible!). Liveplay casting is pretty awesome, and having thought about it myself a fair bit, it's intriguing, but it's also a lot of work, and almost all of it is finding those personalities. Simply being average isn't enough when it comes to casting. Good luck though, it's a long and hard road.
I am not looking for a money making thousands of subscribers podcast. I agree there has to be some dynamics and working together and some active people but nearly every game I have played online has been podcast worthy in my opinion.  The podcast is not the top priority of wanting to form a group. Mainly just so we are not spending half our time looking for a group and to find a collective that want to create new games and projects and truly have fun with gaming.
Hey, I'd be interested. I'm up to play any game. Just creating a group of friends over the internet isn't really hard to do. I've found that working together on something can bring people together, having run some projects in the past. I've thought about youtube/podcasting/ect. many times before, but I'm down to just have fun. Like what Animus said, if you find a great groove between people then you've got something special. I've gained a lot of friends by doing this so I'm on board. Hope some more people want this too!
im interested, making new friends on here is alwaysa  blast becasue tehy share the same intrest. when can we all hangout and get to know eachother?
I would also be interested. I have been a GM for years (and various systems/games). I am looking to actually be a player for once but would not have any problems jumping into the DM's chair every so often.
im a good player xd if you need one!
wow glad to see some interest! I will start contacting people to setup a good time to jump online. What is everyone's preferred program? Skype, vent. hangouts, teamspeak, ect?
i am willing to do this the only problem is all of my stuff is typed because i can not speak im a mute which really sucks for most all the games on here but i would defiently be willing to try and join a group if you guys wouldn't mind
How do you play dnd by typing everything. That's a lot of typing and Skype and vent are both nice programs
They have a chat section where people can type? Idk If you need more Zach's << This guy works. I ~~can DM. but its kinda meh Atm. I've got either Teamspeak or Skype. I love making very detailed characters, and I ~~perfer 4e but I am not stuck on it.
i am very fast at typing that is how and i can hear everything that is being said when i am in a game because i focus everything else out and my characters basically follow the rest of the party anywhere they are going the only time i usually really have o type anything is when i am doing something other then following hte rest of the party
See what I mean? I think he/she'd do just f ine in a game. haha . << Also Im a Computer Engineer (well... ~~1 year left. Go Mountaineers!)
i am a person who plays a ot of games it is fun to do sadly i am not one of the people who gets many chances to game because of the fact that most people are turned away by the simple fact that i am a mute not that it is really that big of a deal not everyone turns me away because of it and i am usually one of the people that has a lot of fun with it because it lets my mind wander and really get into the game i am playing
Hey there, I am new to tabletop rpgs (am currently playing a weekly game on wednesdays with friend IRL) but really like the concept that you are pitching. outside of the tabletop system i've played all sorts of rpg games and sandbox games and would love to help come up with ideas for a game/campaign and eventually after I learn about different game systems and setups would enjoy DMing (i've got tons of ideas for it even though im not sure 100% how the mechanics work) I also am really down to be part of a group of online friends/gamers and enjoy working as a team to get things done (in games as well as simply being a team player) I have skype, teamspeak and am willing to use any other VoIP service decided upon and can meet weekly (aside from wednesday of course) I hope my lack of RP experience isnt a turn off because from what i've played (dnd 4e) it seems right up my alley. thanks for reading! ~also I myself am currently in the process of getting A+ computer tech certified yay techies!!!
damn you techies wish i had the money to be one myself lol
hay man ^^ if you still look for players, id love to join
I find skype offers the best call quality and also has some good programs to record calls with. I have some experience with this sort of thing and have tried almost all if not all the programs to record skype calls and can say that Power Gramo is the best. While it does cost money to get the program (I've paid for it) it is worth it. Most other skype recording programs have problems recording and it sucks when you lose an entire session just because your program decided to crap out.
Skype is preferred, my username: ShouldveBeenASpaceCowboy, contact me anytime.  I'd have to disagree that Skype offers the best  call quality. Lag often occurs, interrupting calls, but I suppose that can happen with any program depending on the locations of everyone involved. For audio, it'd be better if each person individually records themselves. That gives the ability to adjust levels, eliminate background noise, et  cetera. This method can end up troublesome, however. For gaming, typically video games, I prefer teamspeak or mumble- both of which are easy to record too. If I recall correctly, mumble has a built in record feature. Perhaps TS3, too, but it's been a while since I've used it. I'm up to DM. Haven't done much of it outside Pathfinder. I've been looking into Trail of Cthulhu, Shadowrun 5e, and Traveller recently. I've got some ideas for campaigns for all of them. I've been writing for the past 10+ years and am going into Creative Writing and Film soon, so I'm pretty sure I can come up with something interesting. Role playing started my writing, actually, but it was play-by-post forum-based RPGs. Only started doing tabletop a year or so ago. /ramble
I've used teamspeak and Vent and they tend to quite the crappy sound quality. I record my sessions over skype and have not had any problem with lag or the like. I find as long as someone with a good connection is hosting (tends to be me in my games) then there is no problem and my one game has players from Canada (me), the USA, Puerto Rico, London and Scotland and the quality still comes out well. But it really is a personal preference I suppose.
I don't know much about TS or Vent, Mumble is what we generally used. With Skype our calls kept dropping and we had two players in Canada (one of which was hosting and had the best Internet), two in the US, and one in England. The guy hosting definitely had the best Internet out of all of us and I have pretty good internet. That said, I've had good and bad experiences with Skype, great to awful sound, but good overall.
