SR5

So anyone else checked out SR5? just wondering what other people's opinions are.
I've purchased the pdf and I'm slowly reading my way through the rules. So far, I like what they've done. I like the new initiative system. It seems easier to manage to me. I also like the priority based character generation. For some reason, the huge bucket of build points from 4th edition always seemed daunting to me. The limits on dice pools from equipment seem intriguing but I'd have to see it in actual play. I haven't read the Matrix or magic stuff. My hope is that it's all streamlined. I don't particularly care for a needlessly complicated system.
Well.... The matrix is all new. The inititive and priority systems are throwbacks to SR3. The one thing that I loath is the new movement rates for the races. If you have a six aglity you can "Walk" a mile in 6.4 minutes.
I've actually been reading through the 4e book right now (new player), but is the 5th better overall, and more likely to be played more, that I should probably switch over and pick up the 5th and go through that instead?
Kabius, I haven't had a chance to play 5th yet. I can't answer that. What you have to look at is who you plan on playing with and what they are likely to play.
Eh, good point.  So far no one, so I have no idea lol.
check out Dumpshock.com They have a lot of play by post games. I think some one is recruiting for a weekly online game.
