I understand what you're saying, there is not a way for GM to move someone out of the game table, without Kicking them from the entire game. There are several methods that are meant to help with this kind of concern. First, Roll20 recently implemented an update, so if the GM goes to the Game Details page & click "Kick Player" (to remove the person entirely from the game), it will force the game table to reload for everyone, and the Player will be kicked from the game table, as well as kicked from membership in the game. If you really need to boot the person, this method works now. If you don't want to kick them, but you want privacy within the campaign, 2 techniques for that are: Move the Player Ribbon to a splash page or landing page (while the GM can work on any other page, privately), and GM type /talktomyself in the chatroom to make your chat typing secret and hidden for the duration until you type /talktomyself off Wiki docs, Kick Player, https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Management#Players Talk To Myself (for chat) https://wiki.roll20.net/Text_Chat#Chat_Commands Player's Ribbon on the Page Toolbar https://wiki.roll20.net/Page_Toolbar#Managing_Page... Note: Your suggestion is still valid, for the idea of adding a button to remove a Player from the game table. In the meantime you can use the above techniques to prevent players from seeing your GM work, or to kick them entirely from the game if needed.
