Date: 1st-5th Harvester 609 CY Attendance: Wulrakas, Cat, Virgil, N'Nera, Alena (first part) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: The group returns to Waverock after saying their goodbyes to the new proprietor of Drogin's Crypt. Once there, Woolie and Virgil seek out a blacksmith while the others return to the Inn. Woolie commissions the construction of a full-plate helmet to match his new armor, while Virgil insults and later scares the smith. They eventually both return to the Inn, where N'nera has taken her spider form and is terrifying the patrons. Cat is in the back room cooking for herself. Eventually the barkeep warms to Alena and Cat, but the same cannot be said for N'Nera or the ever-drunk Virgil. Four days pass. Woolie has received his new helm, which has been crafted into the likeness of a grinning dragon's head, the teeth clenched together ferociously. It can be lifted open much like a regular plate helm, but rather than lifting a visor, the dragon's 'mouth' opens. In addition, the hollowed out eye sockets have small indentations in them; small candles can be placed within, giving the impression of flaming eyes. Woolie tells the barkeep his story while Cat and Spidera horrify the patrons with their antics. As they go to leave to scare more people, a loud scream is heard from upstairs. They rush up and see Virgil standing at the door where it came from. Since the door is locked, Spidera crawls along the outside of the wall and bursts in through the window. Inside, he sees a dead body on the bed and a woman (later revealed to be Tawnee Tauv, their guide to Crow Town) cornered by a dire wolf and his hooded master. A fight ensues; Spidera pins the man with her web, while Woolie bursts down the door and rushes inside. Eventually the dire wolf is felled and the man flees through the window, falling four stories down to the ground. Virgil gives chase, elegantly back flipping out the window before landing and crushing his legs. Cat follows suit, but being is cat has some advantage in the falling department. The man is eventually killed, and a second similarly hooded man loads a crossbow nearby. He's attacked by Virgil and hit with a ray of frost, at which point he screams that they Mayor has been murdered and that these are the culprits. In the ensuing confusion, the man escapes and the party is rounded up for questioning.
