Have some ideas popping around in my brain for a drop in/out style campaign that focuses more on dungeon crawling and encounters more than sandbox-y roaming. Based on a campaign that I was a part of ages ago that has since shut down. If there are enough interested I will develop it and get it started soon. Due to it's nature it needs a decent-sized player base to be truly what I'm thinking of. The central idea: Players are all adventurers who have come to this town under siege by a variety of big-bads. There are a number of dungeons or pseudo-dungeons located outside of town. These dungeons are large, dangerous and grueling, they cannot be done in one go. Adventuring parties will dive into the dungeon, and hopefully make progress and return to the village with their acquired loot. These dungeons will change and evolve in reaction to the actions of the players, defenses built, traps laid, etc. The average session would consist of gathering a party of 4-5, deciding which of a number of dungeons you wish to tackle (some dungeons tougher than others, different enemies, different flavor, etc.). then as many encounters as we can fit into however much time we have and/or until the party feels it needs to retreat. Despite the combat-oriented nature, RP would still be encouraged and rewarded. Hopefully you will find yourself making bonds and enemies amongst your fellow adventurers to make things more interesting. I am in EST, sessions would be played whenever I have time and enough players. In the evening on weekdays, to potentially any time on weekends. Would aim for 2 sessions a week minimum. Might look to pick up other DMs if necessary.
