Connection Problems and image upload

About everyone I game with in several different groups are claiming to have connection issues, all getting the same 2 error messages when attempting to connect to Roll20, sometimes we even get completely kicked out. I'm not sure for them, but for me this has been happening for about 1-2 weeks intermittently. This is especially common when I've left myself on a page for a while and then refresh it to check for messages. I know Roll20 has had this problem in the past as well and I wasn't going to say anything but it shut down our game for about 30 minutes last night too. This is in addition to the general slowness someone else has posted in this forum too. I have a screenshot of just one of the error codes below. The second error message is a graphic that appears to be from Roll20's host, displaying a message indicating that the browser and cloud are working but the host has an unspecified "error". Right now, I'm able to type this because I've switched over to Firefox from Chrome, but even so I know that this is limited as Firefox experiences the issues as well. All other websites work, router is functioning with normal packet loss and it's across multiple clients. Is this a browser compatibility issue of some kind? Side note: apparently images will not upload in the forum either. Just tried 3 times using both "browse" and drag-and-drop methods. The latter returns an error code and the former hangs for a while with the loading bar then when it completes and you click "insert", it doesn't insert anything (as you can plainly see).
Same here.  Just had this pop up a couple of minutes ago: ERROR 504. Gateway timeout. App.roll20.net Host error. Tried to upload a screenshot, but it wouldn't load the image. Don't know if this is related to the earlier problem or not, but it seems likely.  I posted this in the General Slowness topic, then realized it might not get seen because it was marked as "Resolved".
I'm finding that when I am searching for token / tiles, those I have uploaded appear, but there is just the loading icon for built in and markeplace items. I have tried clearing my cache and tried another browser, but am getting the same problems. No problems with others sites either, so not connectivity issues this end.
@Paddy, Can you post the console logs from when this happens? Hopefully we will be able to help you resolve this. Additionally, what time/day are you playing? We had some hiccups with the servers earlier today but picture uploading should be fine now. @Jason, if you are still experiencing this issue, can you make a new thread? We should have resolved the issue with general slowness by now so if you are still having that issue create a new thread. @Sefotron, can you post a screenshot of what is happening?
Hey Ryan thanks for the response, I can do that if you're referring to the JavaScript console in Chrome? I'll keep it in mind, so far this evening I was able to play my first game without a drop. Typically I play from 8pm EDT to 1AM the next morning. Anywhere in that range and it's been going on for at least the past few days, possibly longer if memory serves.

This is error 1
I'm not having any issues with it on Chrome so I haven't been able to replicate this. Just to help me narrow down the issue, can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem.
Sure I'll give it a wing on my next game. It's so intermittent that I don't want to run without my AV software for too long but I'll happily try the other options for longer periods of time. I am concerned though that this is so intermittent that I simply won't know if something causing it has been rectified.
So I have followed the steps and things have just been getting worse. The funny part is that it's still not just me. My new GM and I were having trouble keeping the voice chat working in a game 2 days ago. I just typed up a ~10 paragraph post and click submit only to get an error page. I had to type it again in Firefox. Highlights: - More than one client - Happens more in Chrome but still in Firefox too - disabled AV - Chrome is now only running AdBlock ver. 2.42.1 The error that I just received is : SSL Connection Error ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
Could you try disabling your adblocker or at least whitelisting Roll20 to see if that helps with that issue?&nbsp; I'm not too familiar with the ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR but this might be helpful&nbsp;<a href="https://www.xtremerain.com/fix-err_ssl_protocol_error-in-chrome/" rel="nofollow">https://www.xtremerain.com/fix-err_ssl_protocol_error-in-chrome/</a> . Quick google search turned it up and I'm not 100% sure if that is related to the problem but the steps in that link might fix it.
