So yeah, that title says a bit. I've never played a good old fashioned pen & paper RPG before. Video games, sure, but never with dice. Did some Games Workshop gaming in the past, but not really the same thing. Essentially can be boiled down to always liked the idea of doing it but not an interest really shared with any friends & so here we are, looking for different ways to play in the 21st century. So what you get is someone who has copies of the D&D 4e Player's Handbook & a couple of other books, but never had a chance to use them. Someone keen & enthusiastic to learn about Dungeons & Dragons, but to be honest would probably be willing to try other systems so long as it's not too mind-blowingly complicated.
Based in the UK so all times I operate are GMT, but I tend towards being a night owl so games that begin in the early evening EST aren't too much of a problem for me, at least in the short term. More or less willing to adapt to when other people are willing to play although I'd really prefer to avoid Saturday afternoons GMT as that's usually a time I sit around the radio & listen to the football commentary. Or go to the games if I'm feeling adventurous. Tuesday afternoons from about 3-7pm GMT aren't ideal either. Other than those restrictions, I think it's not an exaggeration to say that I'm currently more flexible than most with my free-time.
So DnD4e ideally, but willing to try other things. Total roleplaying newcomer so you'll quite likely need a little patience as I may well do something illogical while I pick up the feel of things. Though I would say I'm a pretty quick learner. Old enough to be reasonably mature about these things & not confuse real-life with gaming (I'm 28, I like to think I picked up that skill a few years ago...). And you can find me on Skype as forkboy84 if that's any use to you.
