Anyone want to learn Star Wars: Edge of the Empire with me?

I just recently bought the beginner game for EotE and I really don't have anyone to play or learn it with. So, I thought I'd try it out on here. I'm looking for people who have never played the game like me. I'll be going slowly over the adventure using their pre-made characters they have. The pack says to play the game first, and it'll explain the rules as we go. After we play the game it says to then go into the rule book for more detailed instructions. So, that's what I plan to do. Bare with me though, this will be my actually first time GMing something that's not chat/forum based, so who knows how I'll do. So, with all this said, who would be interesting at giving this a shot? I am Pacific time zone and will probably play from 6/7pm to 10 pm's on week nights. I haven't got a firm day of the week yet, but I'll most likely be working on the game room tonight if anyone wants to talk. There are four pre-made characters to choose from. You can message me on here, or add me on skype at coreyshall. Skype would probably be best as we'd could keep in touch the best!

I've never played EoE, but I've been looking at trying it. I'd love to take the opportunity to learn with you.

Just added you on skype. I'm a bit north of you in OC. It would be awesome if we could get a local group going. I wouldn't mind driving a bit.
Yeah that could be cool. But as for now I'll put you on the back up group. We may play tonight at 7.
As of now I don't have anything tonight, so feel free to ping me on skype if you need me to join.
I'm over in EST, but this time would work out for me alright. If you still need someone else, I'm game. Never tried EoE and I've been looking forward to giving it a go. My skype name is Deepspacebeans.
Howdy, how are you going to handle EotE's funky dice in roll20 and if you've more players than four there's two additional characters that you can download from Beginner Game's support site .
We already got that app up in google + running so that we can use the correct die. And seeing that I am a newer DM I don't want to take on more then four and I would like to just stick with the characters in the pack. There seems to be a big interest in people wanting to learn the game though, so maybe some other GM's would like to teach, or I may be willing to run people through after I go through with the first group.
It looks like you are full up. Sad face, GM to GM (though not running Star Wars), I'm remaking the Beginner game pre-gens. I noticed that a number of characters no longer coincide with printed rules (some being way underskilled, while at least one has far too much XP). I'd be happy to share these with you, if you are interested. Regarding the whole "don't read me yet" rulebook, it's not that big a deal. The adventure just spells out the rules as needed, while the rulebook provides further detail. It's not necessary to stick with only the adventure's rules.
Yeah we have a full slate right now. It sucks I can't let everyone in but I'm sure we'll have spots open up down the road.   What characters are you r
Ya. I know what full is like. I have something like 30 people talking to me about my Shadowrun game.
hey, not reading the rules IMO is always awesome. It's good to have rules like how to make a character or have a universal "how-to" for mechanics, but I'm a big fan of rule 0. At least as long as it's done in a fair and just way. For those that don't know what "rule 0" is: The Game/Dungeon Master has the right to veto anything any player says, he has the right to change any rule or make up his own.
Oh, and forgot to mention, if you start up another group or anything go ahead and add me to skype: Gairbith or message me on here. I love to learn or  play any game as long as times mesh of course.
