DM forging a Rise of the Runelords Pathfinder Game! Want 3 extra players!

A call for adventurers! Greetings everyone! My name is Daf and I'm a 25 year old male from the UK. I'm also a DM.   After a string of no-shows and people not willing to commit, I've decided to reach out to the Roll20 community to extend an invite to join me on a Rise of the Runelords campaign. I am looking for people who will take such a campaign seriously and hopefully not let me down again :(    I am starting the campaign again, brand new, from level ONE! This is a great oppertunity to bond with other people on the site and go through a campaign from start to finish, if everyone else has the drive. I am looking for mature people who don't berate others as I want this game to become an enjoyable experience to DM and to play. Roleplay in this campaign is also a very big deal.  I do have a few rules as well to help control the flow of the game.    1) No cross-classing unless given my permission. Too often I have people trying to 'Power-game' for the best builds and I want real characters with real stories fleshed out, which leads to my next point.    2) Committing to your character. Where does he/she come from? Where did they grow up? Why do they do the things they do? I'm not after some shakespearian thespian works of writing, but I want consideration. I expect all players to read the Rise of the Runelords Players Guide to understand the local area and events, as it also offers background options for classes/races.    3) Only core races allowed. No exceptions here.    4) A balanced party would be nice. However, I would like there to be at least a Cleric and a Fighter.    5) Any Lawful/Chaotic alignment allowed. Good or Neutral only (No evil).    6) RP is essential. There doesn't need to be too much, but instead of "My fighter attacks" I want, "Valeneros swings his hammer in a wide arc" or "I swing my hammer in a wide arc!"    7) No meta-gaming! That should be simple enough :) and finally,    8) The DM's word is law. If I call a rule incorrectly, I fully expect my players to correct me. However, if it would completely breaks the pace of the game, such reserves can be left till the end of the session.    ---------------------------   If you would please post several things if your interested, that would be great. I want to have our first session THIS WEDNESDAY but every other session will be on either a Monday or Wednesday from 7pm (+0GMT). Tomorrows session will be from 5pm or 6pm onwards and its going to be an introductory session and for people to ask me questions or get to know each other. We will also go through characters building for those new to the game.  As I said before, I believe this is a great opportunity to join a solid campaign.  Please only apply if you are deadly serious about seeing it through. I want the players to enjoy the game I present but I also want to enjoy the experience the players give me. Please leave me your Skype Addy, your playing experience, your preferred class and any questions you have. I will be checking up on this thread every hour or so to check for interest. Hope to hear from any of you soon Daf!    (P.S - I also use various tools such as dynamic lighting for added effect. Please make sure your computer can perform alright!)
I'm willingly to join this and I'll pm you shortly more information about my character.
I would definitely love to play this game and am free during the listed times. I'm somewhat new to Pathfinder, but very experience in AD&D 2nd Ed. and familiar with 3.5. I've always focused on roleplaying and am looking for an underpowered campaign when min/maxing and metagaming are not a driving force. I'd love to make a character. Please PM me if you'd be interested in having me.
Eduard and Kyle. Thanks a lot for your replies. Eduard said hes going to PM me shortly which is great. Kyle and Eduard, what classes are you interested in making?
I would be interested and am GMT. I did the attached 20 pt build, though could easily modify substituting a campaign trait, adding/subtracting pts etc. There is some background on the sheet (unused for another game) <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=614763" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=614763</a> I cannot makee the tuesday this week as I GM on tuesdays, but am otherwise ok monday or wednesday. I have not played RoRL but am running Jade Regent so have some familiarity with the location etc.&nbsp;
Swamped. You sound like a good candidate as well. I'm going to move the introduction to Wednesday instead of Tuesdays.
ok thanks
Could everyone please give disclose all the relevant info I asked for :)
Jacob's (Inquisitor of Pharisma//L1) parentage is uncertain. He was found as a child by a group of Dwarf Traders arriving in the aftermath of a bandit attack, on the hazardous roads of southern Ustalav. A human nurse was found for him, but he was brought up in the business of Master Gomar, a dwarven smith working in Caliphas.&nbsp; A casual attendee to the Church of Pharisma, his attitude changed in a chance encounter with the undead of that corrupt city. At 14 he asked to be apprenticed to the Church, and was eventually accepted as an Inquisitor. Quirks:&nbsp;Truly despises undead and those involved with them.&nbsp;Keeps a low profile.&nbsp;Isn't too concerned regarding minor day to day religious transgressions: more concerned with the larger picture: he is essentially a specialist functionary for the church pursuing undead. Contacts: &nbsp;The only people he truly trusts are those from his adoptive Dwarf circle.&nbsp;He is aware that even some clergy of the Church can go off the rails.&nbsp;Has yet to find reliable travelling companions. Personality:&nbsp;Somewhat clipped and saturnine. Has black mood swings and when in an introspective mood can be quite unpredictable.&nbsp; Tends towards being a loner, but understands that this is not always practical. I could remove the Armor Expert trait and subsitiute a campaign trait (The RoRL ones are actually the ones in APG I think?) ,.Any of the three Outlander traits would be suitable substitute Exile (upsetting the vampire lords in Caliphas made it expedient for him to be assigned far , far away, for his own good) or Missionary (sent to Variaia to boost the Pharisma presence there). The mythfinder sheet gives the 20 pt build. I assumed the average cash roll (140 gp) for this class. Skype is swampedbybunnies1 Playing exp: a first generation rp er, though there was a gap of some years. Having come back to rp last few years &nbsp;I play weekly at a club, and weekly online with a group thats played for two years now. The games I currently run are all on Obsidian Portal if you do a search on swampedbybunnies. Currently running two Pathfinder games 'Shadows over Ustalav' (ie Carrion Crown, which is face to face) and 'Journey to the East' (which is Jade Regent online). While an experienced Gm at PF I've never actually been &nbsp;a player (except ironically for a d20 RoRL game which got cancelled before the first session...)
Friday 9:30 PM - 1:30 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Sunday 1:00 PM - &nbsp;5:00 PM (Eastern Standard&nbsp;Time) Those times are when I have other games and I'll keep you informed if any other time periods are taken up.
Swampedbybunnies. I assume you'll be standing in for the support/healer slot (in place of the cleric)?
I've got cure LW certainly. If I took the Missionary Trait that would allow me to cast at one level higher. Also what is pts build?
***UPDATE*** Starting attributes at level 1 is standard point buy with 17 points (Just over the 15 standard). I have Swampedbybunnies whos making an inquisitor. I would also love a Ranger, A Fighter and a Cleric. PLEASE INTEND TO STAY WITH THE CLASS FOR THE FULL 20 LEVELS.&nbsp;
***UPDATE*** A ranger has been chosen! Still need a Fighter and a Cleric!!! Characters also can choose Archetypes (Official ones) and one campaign trait and one trait of your choice from the official rules.
ok have reset mythweavers sheet to 17 points and altered traits: Jacob retains the Pharisma religious Trait (Undead Hunter) but has removed Armor Expert and substituted a campaign trait: Exile.
Awesome. Swamped, I'll be glad to have you. Congratulations :) Can I have the link to your new sheet?
Ahhh, its the same link. Awesome
Any room left. Also what days and times. I wouldn't mind playing a fighter class.&nbsp;
***Update*** - Lots of applications for the fighter! Need a CLERIC!!! Please only post if you want to play a cleric now.
Hello, I'm interested&nbsp; to join the party as a rogue. A lot of experience with 3.5 (1 group though) some experience with Pathfinder. Is there still room?
***Update*** Fighter has been found! Only Cleric remains!!!
juiced 3. said: Hello, I'm interested&nbsp; to join the party as a rogue. A lot of experience with 3.5 (1 group though) some experience with Pathfinder. Is there still room? Sorry buddy. A cleric is kinda needed (Current party of Ranger, Fighter and Inquisitor)
I am new, but I'm willing to go create a cleric if you're still looking for one.
Is there a strict need for a cleric? Couldn't a Life Oracle, Witch, or Vivisectionist Alchemist cover that need instead of forcing people to play a, frankly, easy to underutilitize or break class like the cleric?
I would love to play a cleric. If possible, If that's okay with you. Do Tell, So I can flesh out some lovely story line.
I'd like to play a War-Priest style of cleric if you allow me to join.
So we have ; Inquisitor, Ranger, fighter Has a cleric type been confirmed yet?
if u need a druid let me know :P cleric heals are 2 main stream lol ^_^
I'd like to try a Cavalier (or Gunslinger, if allowed).
