So, for me at the moment, it's summer.

With it being summer, I have nothing really to do, until I stumble into a job. I've never played any roleplaying games other than All Flesh, Lady Blackbird and some other simple "lite" game. The guys I played with never bother anymore, and I really wish that wasn't the case. Yet it is. What will be the best game to pick up and find a game for straight away? From the look of things. DnD 4ed should turn bring in the best results, though I do like the idea of playing Call of Cthulhu, but I'm not sure how easily I'll find a game. I'll make sure to check back in on this thread.

If you're willing to create the game and be the GM, people will play anything you post. If you want to be a player (and not a playah hatah) then you have to not only be willing to play anything, but you gotta be lucky enough to get there first when a game is posted. -Based on my two months experience so far.

One tip if your looking to be a player, don't bother posting a LFG post most good GMs don't have the time to read them, also avoid any "looking for GM" type posts as any GM that wanted to run a quality campaign would just post to say he is looking for a group. -Based on my one year experience so far.

I disagree with this - some of my better players have come from posts where a prospective player is able to succinctly describe the kind of game they're looking for.  If it's a good match for my group, I'm likely to squeeze in an extra player.
