This is a call to everyone interested in playing a gritty 5e game with lots of freedom and immersion. Picture yourself diseased and and hungry searching for a place to rest. You stumble upon a musty old cave that echoes the sounds of dripping water. You call upon your companions to ready their torches and light the way as you tie the horse outside the mouth of the cave. You enter trembling hoping you may have found sanctuary from the wilderness. A sudden gust of wind erupts from the cave entrance. Your torches are snuffed out. Then a large snout emerges; "Who dares to disturb me?" What happens next is up to you... Remember when you wanted to play DnD because someone told you you could "do anything?" You were so excited, you were ready to engage in an immersive world and make real choices and meet characters that really mattered to you. Then you joined some weak game with railroad tracks, your DM wouldnt let you leave his precious boundaries and pretty soon you became disengaged. Not even your mistakes mattered. You could have ran headfirst into an army of orcs and you wouldnt have died because your DM still wanted you to meet his super cool npc that was definitely not just a character from his favorite anime. Well enough of that bull-shit. In this game you will be given a simple mission: Get to the keep of Lord Blackmoor in 12 days. Then you will be given a map. It is up to you to plot your course, make the most of your supply funds, and perhaps decide whether your kingdom is worth saving. Where do your allegiances belong now that you have been entrusted with this important quest? Will you choose the fate of the kingdom over your own? What about your companions? Choices are what this game is about, but each of these choices also comes with a serious consequence. Beware, the wrong path may lead you nowhere and the wrong friends may kill you.
