Greetings and salutations everyone! My name is Thomas. I'm 26 years old and am proud to say I've finally joined the D&D train, I just wish I had gotten on sooner! I'm fairly new to D&D and Pen and Paper RPG in general. I've played a few IRL sessions of AD&D 2e with my brother and his friends and got immediately hooked. Recently attained the 5e PHB and was pleasantly surprised at the intense amount of customization and choices one is allotted. I instantly dove in to the book and started creating. My first character is a bit of an odd choice but I think he will add quite a bit of flavor. His name is Shadraq Bronzeblood, Dragonborn Druid. As a young clutchling, Shadsplorer, as his clutchmates called him, was quite the curious little creature. He was always discovering new things in the forest near his home while his brothers and sisters were more concerned with wrestling. One day, his father and older brothers went out on a hunt and Shad decided he would follow along. While stopping to admire a hollow log and all the critters that lived in it, Shad lost sight of the hunting party. Not only that, he had no idea which direction was home. He sat under a Yew tree and began to sob and blast his lightning breath into the air as a violent storm approached. Out of nowhere, a dire wolf appeared. Shad was frightened but the dire wolf simply licked his cheek and proceeded to carry him by the scruff of the neck to a cave for shelter. The dire wolf turned out to be an Elven woman named Lia, a member of a nomadic Tribe of druids. It wasn't long before Shad insisted that his adoptive mother teach him the way of the druid. It was a long road, since Dragonborn don't have a natural gift for the Druidic arts. But his love of nature and willingness to learn prevailed. His beast forms never quite turn out perfect, always retaining the bronze hue of his scales, but Lia would say that's just part of his charm. I envision this character being so fun to role-play! I think he will add so much flavor to any campaign. I could even see him being a multiclass Druidic Ranger, dual-wielding scimitars(using that +2 STR racial bonus) and befriending beasts of any shape and size. If your game is looking for a formidable Druid with a heart of gold(or rather bronze) then you will love Shadraq. I am available Sun, Mon, Wed evenings 5PM EST and onward. Willing to play for several hours! Thanks for your time and consideration.
