I'd love to be in the group. I already DM a crap-ton of 5e, so I'd only be interested as a player for now, maybe a GM down the road. I'll gladly GM I have some plans for the campaign progression the will diverge from the premade campaign used in the show. Your characters will eventually be assisting the people of Karros, a dystopian city state controlled by Golems that were brought to life using the spirits of the dead. Originally they were created as protectors for the city during the Chaos Wars. Eventually they decided it was in the best interest of the city for them to take control. The reasoning behind why his hand is cybernetic in still working out the backstory for, but afterwards he started tinkering with the mechanical bits and added a retractable blade (equalivant to a short sword in length) to his wrists (think assassins creed wrist blades). After doing the modification, he became addicted to cybernetic enhancements and added a second wrist blade to his non cybernetic hand. I think I will tie in his reasoning for becoming an adventurer to the backstory of how he lost his hand. But like I said I'm still trying to work out those details. My character will be either a gnome or halfling rogue. That sounds like an awesome concept! I have an NPC that I created for the campaign, he's a half elf/half saurian gunslinger named Malloran "Mal" Ambereye. He's inspired by Mal from Firefly! lol
