Scatter Dice

Thinking of doing a game of necromunda with some friends. We used to play, but life has scattered us to all to different corners, and we would love to try it online using a VTT. Roll20 has always been my favorite, but my only concern here is the scatter mechanic. Traditionally, you literally use the direction the arrow faces on the table to determine the direction of scatter. Anybody have any solutions?

The only solution that comes to mind is the rollable tables function with an image of each dice face. https://wiki.roll20.net/Card_Decks_and_Rollable_Tables#Rollable_Tables

Rollable table on its own is insufficient. You would also need API to randomly rotate the arrow. In the pipeline is the ability to add new skins to the 3D dice models, which would solve this problem handily, once it eventually becomes available.
Use a 3d d8 to act as a scatter die.

So use a d6 with the d8. If the d6 lands on 5 or 6, it's on target and you ignore the d8. Otherwise you look at what way the d8 is pointing.
