D&D schooling! - not wanting to be the useless female

Ok, well I posted a similar question/statement to a groups game but figured I'd just take this to the message board. I concede that I am interested in joining a D&D game, however I know very little about the game. I am very willing to learn, and play other games (mainly online) and have experience with rpg board games. I am wanting to know the ins and the outs of the game, but I don't want to join one as a total noob and slow everyone down! So if you'd care to help a lady out maybe email me at ghostsofnature@gmail.com, or just reply to this! I'd like to join this game, but like I said, I'd rather not be a burden.
Pff DnD is for chumps! https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/161812/crassius-a-dark-heresy-campaign
I'd love to help you learn. I don't have a game you could join but I can help you prepare for one. Msg me if you are interested.
Moved to off-topic since this is not an API question. :)
I have the Kelly's problem too. It will be very fine if I could attend a game just as observer !

Look in the lfg forum board or do a search in the lfg listings. There usually games listed for new to the game players. If it is not knowing the rules, i posted a thread called "srd or free games" and it has links to varies rule site for pathfinder, 3.5, and other systems.

@ kelly and gianni: Don't worry about not knowing the game. Any good GM will take the time to help you and so would a good group. If i was running a live game, I would toss you an invite without a second thought.
The most important piece of advice I can give to any new players, don't be afraid to talk. I notice sometimes (sometimes more so with females) tend to hold back alot with their input regarding ingame choices or commentary regarding any given situation.
As someone that GM's several games per week and has players of various skill level, I really don't understand the concept of groups being burdened by new players. The RP community on a whole tends to be extremely helpful and friendly and any GM/group worth their salt would have no problems showing a new character the ropes. Slowing the game down to explain stuff should not and does not take away from the experience at all. Also not to sound sexiest or the like but seeing as you are a female the GM/group should be a little more willing to help as the RPG world can always stand to include more females. With that said I do have a spot in my Sat game that if you wished Kelly you could fill. The group has played together for a while but we are starting a new campaign in a new world so you wouldn't be jumping in mid story. One of the players is also new, so you wouldn't be the only one and she can attest that our group has no problems taking time to explain stuff. I would rather my players ask questions (regardless of experience) so we can hash stuff out then to not ask them and to be confused. If you are interested send me a pm and I will get ya more details, this Sat is the groups character creation session so you would fit in. I apologize Gianna but I only have one spot open and figured I should offer it to the thread's creator.
Also, I am running a large group campaign which most are new. Come watch or play, it doesnt matter but i am open as well as everyone else to message on any questions you have about the game and i would be glad to answer/ point you in the right direction.
Anyone that wants to "observer" can PM me. We can work out the details of when and how.

See Kelly, Gianni. All you have to do is ask and people will help. We all have been new to gaming or to roll20 or even both so what you are feeling we have been there. You have a question then just ask it and someone will answer it to the best of their ability which is all you can ask for.
