1. I changed the post to the working one, sorry for the inconvenience. 2. The time is still being decided! as i wait for more people to post their time! 3. The starting level will be lvl 1 3a. When you make your character and everything, please upload me a picture of your character! so i can add it to the game. 4. There will be restrictions on PHB 3 cause i really find psi hard to deal with as WOTC sorta break most campaigns with them. 5. Everything is mostly home brewed!
The textures and tokens are not! And the Artwork i use is from Google :/, you may see some characters from other games or stuff in the past.
This means there are home rules!
Also, every monster is home brewed, so generally do not rule lawyer with the monsters.
Monster tactics, health, and stats are all hidden from players! You will no nothing about them until you find lore or tips from NPC or during combat, then i will update it in your journal so you know how to beat them!
The combat system is the same, flanking CA and all that applies.
Generally Elevated terrain grants you +2 Atk and +1 to Defense. If your in a ditch you get -2 Atk +2 to all Def. However this changes still! In your in a ditch and a mage casts a spell that hits you from above, you get no +2. Such bonus and debuffs will be further explained throughout, its basically a logical system, such that if your behind a box, your behind cover, but an archer can volley a arrow to hit you with no penalty, that is to say the ceiling is high enough.
All checks and rolls will be based on you Stats. If you're trained in the ability, then you get to add your mod to it, if youre not its simply the roll. Trained players in the same ability check can also help you complete it. Otherwise your ability roll is just the roll itself. This keeps my DC normal and very doable, and makes trained people feel better :).
I dont care if you use the computer to roll or to do it in real life, I trust my players in making it fair and fun, as long as dice rolls are quick and keeps combat intense and story rolling.
In combat or out of, you can do whatever you like. Want to climb an Ogre to get CA on him? want to scale a wall or throw a barrel of oil to light the enemies on fire? just ask and if its possible and logical, make a quick roll and BAM! Anything is possible that makes sense!
There is also a target area function which lets you target your attacks. If you can see an area on any monster/NPC you can hit it, the basic attacks will hit generally causing no bonuses. A targeted attack grants you bonus if DM grants. Say you are fighting a flying dragon, and most of your party are melee members. The archer can snipe out the Wings of the dragon and disable its flight if enough damage is done. If you target a goblins leg with you mighty slash, you can disable his movement. Ofcourse its not easy. To do target attacks, you take -2 to Atk. So do them when you think you can break the claw of a monster or when you can cripple another to save your friends.
Also you can break some terrain to cause massive damage. There is a door? why open it, break it down, a monster standing underneath a roof? cast some fire and burn the roof down and let is collapse on him. Skeleton standing guard on a bridge? why not sneak up and disarm him and push him off? Or why not burn a hole under the bridge. The possibilities are endless. Ask the DM though...cause i don't want u to break my campaign lol...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FINALLY LOOT!
As a party of adventures! loot will not be given, but must be found or taken. Whoever find it, loots it, or whatever gets it. Its up to your party members to share it and tell you what it is. Looting bosses and monsters will cause everyone to know whats in it. Looting chests and other secret things i will PM you it, unless people are standing around you and can see whatever your looting. I will globally distribute gold during quests. My loot are not simple +1 items or oh here a better chain mail. A lot of it is campaign related or class specific. And not all armor you find can fit you! Learn what everyone needs and help your party, hording will get everyone killed.
Your bag can only hold so much.
Its a logical carry system. You cant loot 10 swords or carry 3 sets of armor around...
ALSO!
You can harvest materials from enemies or the map to make your own crazy ass shit.
You can skill a troll and make troll hide, or take apart the gears of a ballista and make an upgraded cross bow. Harvesting requires specific DC and crafting what you want requires a DM confirmation. Ask! :)
