Can't upload images?

I'm having trouble uploading images. I'm using Chrome and trying to upload a 5438 KB .jpg file and it doesn't seem to work. The moment I drag the image into the box to upload, it starts at 25% or so complete, and the bar never progresses beyond that point. I've tried to upload a small token file, and that seemed to work fine, but I can't upload my map. Is there an upload file size limit that is not mentioned anywhere?
I've tried uploading with Firefox and reducing the map resolution and file size by half, and the same thing happens... the progress bar instantly starts at 25% or so, and never moves beyond that. I've waited about 5 minutes to see if it would eventually finish, did a refresh, and image still is not in my library.
Nevermind... it seems it finally finished after about 10 minutes of waiting. The progress bar doesn't seem to do anything though... maybe a bug? It's either at 25% or it disappears completely when the image is done.

Nick, there is a five MB limit to uploads. Your image is right at the threshold where uploading will get wonky.
Does that mean I cannot upload maps that are larger than 5 MB? I have maps that are around 10 MB and I want to be able to use them without changing the size or resolution. I have been playing around with Roll20 for the past few days and I am quite impressed. It's the kind to VTT that I have been looking for! I am even considering becoming a supporter. But the upload cap bothers me. Could it not be removed for supporters at least? Otherwise, Roll20 is of no use to me ... unfortunately ...

Karl, I would suggest cutting the map into peices and uploading them that way. Then you can just fit them together and merge them in Roll20. - Gauss

But I'd rather be able to upload the whole map in one go ... Are there plans to increase the cap at some stage?

That would be a question for the Developers. :) - Gauss

CidCalypso, take a look at the resolution of your images. You should be able to drop the resolution to shrink the file size. Image resolution does not affect how an image displays on a digital screen. The display is dictated by the image's dimensions. An image file that is 300 pixels by 300 pixels in size with a 300 dpi/ppi resolution will display exactly the same on your computer screen as a 300 by 300 pixel image at 72 dpi/ppi resolution. The larger the resolution, the weightier your image file size will be.
Thanks for your help, Gauss and Kristin. I played with RIOT (Radical Image Optimization Tool) to resize one of my larger maps and that worked quite well. Looking good ... ;-)
