LFP Car Wars ... Time TBD ... Drive Offensively!

Car Wars is a retro-style 1980s wargame about vehicular combat. It is not a RPG, although it has RPG elements. I have created a campaign for and successfully tested playing Car Wars on Roll20. It can be done and it is fun! Each fight lasts 3-5 hours, depending on the number of cars/vehicles and combat conditions. Any number of players can play at once, but being killed or eliminated makes you a member of the audience for the remainder of the fight. I have created several arenas, imported a number of stock vehicles, and created a variety of macros to facilitate fast game play. I have a 4-page quick start for new players ... Car Wars is very new-player-friendly, assuming you understand that it is a retro wargame about vehicle-to-vehicle combat and not an RPG. Interested players, pairs of players, or groups of players should PM me. I may fight you myself or, depending on the number of cars, I will referee the match and not fight. Remember, the American Autoduel Association (AADA) reminds you to DRIVE OFFENSIVELY!

Very interested, a friend and I were discussing setting this up. What time zone? Day of week? Weekly? Bi-weekly? Monthly? Other?

Excellent questions, Michael! Right now, I am not hosting Car Wars on a regular schedule ... I am hosting one-shots at varying dates & times at the request of drivers and groups of drivers. If the campaign expands and gets a loyal group of players, I will host a regular monthly event. I am available to host, referee, and (maybe) fight on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays. Tuesdays and weekends are out. I live in the USA Pacific time zone but I can work with players in other zones. So, if you and your friend want to fight one-on-one (or we can try to find more drivers) PM me to arrange a day and time. I'm open to a lot of options. Cheers!

I would like to play. How much experience is needed? I heard the game is fairly complex

This sounds awesome, I've always read about car wars but never had a chance to try it.

I have a one-on-one duel scheduled for Friday, November 6 at 4 PM Pacific. We could add more drivers and turn this into a real Event! Any interest?
