Generally speaking we play using google+ hangouts. So for an invitation you will need a gmail address and have your google+ hangouts options all set up and ready to rock and roll. Private messaging me your gmail address for an invitation is a good idea as I have pdf documents I am also happy to send to players in the campaign if you decide to play / stick around. As the Dungeon Master I should and probably will be online at least a few minutes before the listed start time for play. Seats at the virtual table are on a first come first serve basis. The maximum number of players I am willing to DM for in any particular evening's play session is 5. Seats are granted to players on a first come, first serve basis (at least for now, until a regular group of players emerges). Do not be discouraged by the growing list of players signed up for the campaign. We may have eight players signed up to play and only three show up on time. If you show up significantly late from the start time for the campaign (more than 30 minutes) you are welcome to watch but unless there is a shortage of players that evening should not count on playing even if we only have 4 players at the table. It is time consuming to sit and explain everything that has happened up until you showed up late and that takes a big chunk of play time away from the players at the table. If you arrive a few minutes late and we still have a seat at the table you are welcome to join in. I request that all players private message me their gmail address prior to arriving for play so I can add it to the list and grant you a quick invitation. Having to PM questions and answers unrelated to game play when the game is well underway is distracting and unfair to the other players. I set aside the first 15-20 minutes of any game session for campaign business and getting people set up so their video and audio is working correctly. By 20 minutes after the start time I would like very much to be playing. Beta - The current campaign is in a sort of Beta state while I upload more maps, tokens and learn the feature of roll20. This is also a good time to build up one or even two semi consistent groups of five players. My hope is to run at least bi-weekly if not weekly sessions for two groups of players in the campaign. The goal is to have everything tested and sorted out so that by early to mid September the campaign is going, all pistons firing, full speed ahead. Game Session Duration - For the next few months I am looking at a two and a half hour session, starting at 3 pm and wrapping up at 5:30 pm Central time USA. Eventually there will be two sessions offered each week, one on Wednesday from 3 pm until 5:30 pm and the other on Thursday from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. Players may play in either session or both. First come, first served until two established groups are formed. Experience Points: Players may choose a pregenerated character to start. They will be allowed to build their own personal character after they play through at the minimum, two game sessions. Experience points are granted to Players, not assigned to characters. Thus if Steve shows up and earns 500 xp a game session for three game sessions that experience transfers with him to his own personal character. Later should Steve's personal PC die he will be able to start his new character with the experience points he personally has earned in the campaign. He will not need be asked to roll up a new first level character. Experience points may be split between two different characters should a player wish to jump between say a third level fighter and a second level magic user. Once player experience is granted to a character it sticks with that character until the character dies or is otherwise retired permanently from the campaign.
