Session 17 Log/Art/XP

Session 17 Log With ancillary funds, Neon Tigers arranges to fix up the lower floors. We hire Pan-Gal to spruce it up. We make sure they rotate crews to inquire about the bombing. The gang goes down to see “Rodworth” go fight in the Entropy’s End club. We see Drodo, the eight-limbed Dralasite trainer, the bouncer, and the bartender. We notice the cloaked robot again. “Rodworth” is fighting in 30 min. Eusyl puts 50 Sty. On the other guy. We keep an eye out for Dack, but we don’t see him. We do see one that matches the description, except with hair. Rodworth buys the guy a drink and greets him, asking his opinion of “Rodworth”. He mentions the bounty and tells Rod that Dack shot himself with a rocket launcher. He mentions that his friends would know more, including a nurse he hangs with; Galilea. Rodworth talks to Drodo and asks for a picture of “Rodworth”. He shows him, a picture of a tan, buff Human. He also shows a picture of Dack, who has a shaved head and a distinctive face. Eusyl follows the guy into the Pink Monkey. She shadows him for the night. “Rodworth”’s fight begins between him and a male Yazirian. Someone mentions that “Rod” has stamina because “you know what he does with Valkyries.” “Rod” loses and Rodworth confronts him about his name. “Rodworth” agrees to change his name to “throwdor”. Turning to the Wind problem, we plan to raid a drug shipment then blame the Screechers. We activate our Irregulars to spot their patterns and figure out the shipment. Eusyl fails to follow the man after leaving the Pink Monkey and he confronts her. She heads back to the Labyrinth. Yaz and the Rat-Faced Man go up to the top floor. Yaz doubles back and tries to catch him as the Man heads for the Monorail. Back at the base, the guys try to find the RFM in the video recordings we’ve made of the fight club. He is a regular at the club. The computer notes a Vrusk showing a picture of Dack. He is armed with an electrostunner and a pistol. The cleaning crews say that an expert gunner quit angrily yesterday. Rodworth heads over to Glimmer Dome on personal business. He picks up an expensive ring. He offers it to Artemis, who demurs. Rod inquires if they’re going to move against the Winds. He implies the Screechers may make a move. Rodworth suggests giving Nilo’s computer to Alice to justify our retainer. Balta’Sax joins him on the trip. As they ride along, Galilea comes on the train and heads over. She says that people have told her that she knows that we’re looking for Dack and the bounty is big enough that others might seek to eliminate the competition. She gets off with them at the Arbor. Balta’Sax follows her. She comes to a mansion called Prasa with stone walls and solid gold combat bots disguised as statues. The family is into Mining primarily. Rodworth arrives and presents the computer to the Butler. Rod tells him how we recovered it. He shows him the picture of the person Nilo was trying to meet. Butler agrees to run a computer scan on it. The quillbat situation has evolved; people are home-growing them for the bounty. The two meet up and share info and head back to base. Rodworths’ chrono goes off. Butler reveals that the man is not native; called Rock Haggard. He also mentions that the wild Quillbats tend to be found in the lowest levels of the domes. We are awarded 6000 styrigi from Alice.
I have two pieces of art developing; first is an MMA magazine interview with Throwdor Toumish. Second is a view of our office first floor. Any thoughts on design welcome.
is it a before or after.  My take on the before or this how about this for the air lock on the third floor
Cool log, and nice picture finds. Your #2 picture is about exactly what I imagined as well... but without the light. I'll post experience later in the week once Eusyl has had more time to finish the art. I'm really sorry about tiring out so much lately. I intended the sessions to go about two-and-a-half hours, maxing out at three. Life has been busy. It doesn't help that I've been waking up at 5 AM lately. I hope the time change this week will give me some more energy. The campaign thus far has been a lot of fun, and I really enjoy playing with you all. The Stars Without Number campaign sounded great, but I think I'm simply over-committed ... thus the lack of energy. I guess I need to learn some tricks from Throwdor.
I should say that I'm talking about the offices after the fixing up. Plus maybe a shot of the front of the building with a sign. Are the streets and 'ceilings polished or rough stone?
The tunnels were dug by giant boring machines and robots. As such, I'd think it would be rough stone. However, vehicles must travel on those roads, so would have been paved - but probably done by the lowest bidder. The front of the building and internals?  I was thinking brick, cinder blocks, or other cheap materials mass-produced for assembly.  Portions are probably spray-crete, possibly even whole buildings. Incidentally, spray-crete houses are nifty and really inexpensive even with today's technology. Unfortunately, not very common yet... cause they don't look traditional.  I built my first house that way, but I made a lot of simple mistakes because you have to do one to learn. There's a cool YouTube video I saw once for how to build a spray-crete fence.
So i'm very likely going to be a bit late from here on out, I was asked if I wanted to convert from 20 to 25 hours a week and I just had to accept so I'm getting off work an hour later then normal for the forseeable future
More work equals more money, right?  Don't blame you at all.

I work for public America though, so yes more work does equal more money, sometimes less work equals more money too because Government
Building a New Me; the contentious journey of Throwdor Timoush by Clik'it'R'Tiket for Rotating Silicon Structure I'm sitting uncomfortably in a chair that theoretically is for a Vrusk and watching some mammals swinging their upper limbs at each other, and occasionally abusing their mating organs. There's also some wrestling moves, (I'm told but it looks a fair amount like mating behavior based on the vids I saw for that vice expose I wrote three years ago) and when it's done, I'm introduced to Throwdor Toumish, an up-and-coming fighter here on the lowest level of university dome. He's only been going by that name for a few days now, part of a (hopefully) fascinating path from obscurity to fame. Cl: So you've gone through a couple of name changes, yes? TT: When I was starting out in Old Dome, I was just another street kid, but I came out on top of enough scrapes that I moved into the under 10s bare-knuckles circuit.  CL: My research indicates that you were born Eustace Claude Bearnuts, and are a partial heir to the Bearnuts fortune. TT: Who told you that?? CL: Sheila Prasa. She grew up next door at their manor. She also said you got beat up a lot. TT:  I don't know if I'd say a lo-- CL: at university TT: What?? CL: By younger females. Whom you were attempting a mating ritual with... TT: Uh, no comment. CL: How did you get involved in the fights? TT: While not confirming the previous statement,  I may have been involved in an altercation with some other students and a underclassman intervened. He mentioned that he'd trained in the hand arts so I decided to look into it.  CL: That was Rodworth Shimout? TT: Uh, yeah. After a few years of hard training CL: And, I understand, some muscle implants and lung enhancer surgery TT: Uh, I can't speak to that. But I learned under that Dralasite over there... He indicated Drodo, one of the few eight-limbed Dralasite on planet. There's rumor of a ten-armed one on Inner Reach but few non-Dralasites tend to go there.  TT: And I've gotten a pretty good record now. CL: Why Rodworth Shimout as your new name? TT: I needed something, wasn't going to go by Bearnuts CL: Why not? In some Vrusk languages Bi'rrN#ts means being of great power... TT: Really? CL: No. it means "Deep pit of dung." I entertain myself by convincing Humans to make embarrassing tattoos out of Vrusk language. So the name... TT: Well, he's part of a group of guys from the university that's been making a name for themselves. You've seen the footage of them rescuing that girl in front of the bank... CL: Very exciting stuff. TT: So it seemed like a good name to go under. Intimidate the competition. Didn't really work. CL: Not at all? TT: No one here's even heard of the guy and then I met him. Total douche. Well, he was pretty cool about the whole name thing. But it's not like he was even ripped. I don't know how he beat those girls--er, anyway. So I decided to change my name to that of a great soldier from the past; Throwdor Toumish! CL: Isn't that just Rodworth Shimout backwards? TT: Just  a coincidence. Maybe Shimout took that name and reversed it. D'Ja even think of that? CL: Well that's all the time we have for this. Good luck Throwdor... TT: Whatever, I'm hitting the sonic showers.
LOL, love it!!
That's good stuff. Consider the art task done. New XP totals: +1 everyone that was expected to be on time was on time +1 log +1 creativity No missions finished, but several are in motion. The new total: 119 (from last week) + 3 = 122 xp
Note: I may be late tonight by a few minutes. Just start without me.
