Text Box glitches

March 06 (8 months ago) Gold Roll20 Mod Team   Permalink Quote Report This happens to me too. I never thought of it as a "bug" really, but it is a bit strange. The ending text size (once the text is placed on your map and you "leave the box") is the proper size that you set in the Font size number. In the interim, while you have the Text box open and you've already typed a word or letters, and you change the font point-size on the tool, it will suddenly change the text in your text box to an outrageous size. But when you actually "place" the text box and drop it on the map, and you let go of the box, then it will revert to the expected text size. So for me it is a temporary glitch, that occurs only while you have a text box with words & you change the font point size while holding the text box open. This still happens to me too, along with other things described below: May 07 (3 years ago) Nolan T. J. Roll20 Dev Team Permalink Quote Report I had forgotten how difficult the text boxes were to use. Had similar problems when I GM'd a game. Thanks and noted. they still are: - they don't line break automatically; - when editing, sometimes all the manual line-breaking disappears; - when copy pasting text, the line-breaking is not preserved; - when editting and adding empty lines, sometimes text is moved "outside" the text-box area and is not seen when edditing, only re-appearing after finishing - The actual position of the text-box ends-up not the same (it moves slightly) as when we're edditing the text :) now what? Cheers!
I tested and verified the issues you posted at the end. I'll mark this down as a bug for us to address. In general, I think the text box works best for short text entries and using handouts for longer text stuff, like multi-line entries.
